Sit on Santa's Lap Experience

Have you got a wish?? If so, you should take part in the "sit on santa's lap experience" like I did recently. You should really check it out at sitonsantaslap.com....I know I'm glad I did. It's quite fun! As long as your at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States, you can upload a picture of yourself and let Santa know what your wish is for Christmas!! You can upload any picture as long as it's of you. I decided to upload one of me that was taken most recently on my birthday. While taking part in this experience you not only get ot have fun, but you get to learn more about the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. There are many photo frames out there, but this one is pretty unique and unlike any of the others I've seen so far. It makes it possible to transfer pictures right fomr a phone or optional wi-fi and the screen is bigger as well!

As if all of that is not enough...you also enter into a contest when taking part in this contest. Each day one person is randomly drawn to receive 500 dollars!! Who couldn't use that this time of year, right?? If you'd like to see what you think of this experience...check out their site for more information.

Climbing

Kaelyn is becoming quite the climber! She's always enjoyed climbing up or into anything she can, but with increasing balancing and moving around more....she's now learning to crawl up the steps. We obviously keep a close eye on her, but do promote it as it's a great thing to learn. She's getting very good and fast at it. She's even begun to go down the stairs some. We were very proud of her. Now we just have to keep a close eye on her...she's becoming much more active these days.

Wedding Channel

I remember a few years ago when Jen and I got married there was a lot of planning to do. There's always those last minute things too that can be quite stressful. She and her mom did a lot of it...but I'm sure they would have appreciated some help from WeddingChannel.com. This is a great site that has been helping brides and grooms plan their weddings since 1997! They offer an interactive website that has planning tools, advice, photos, a local vendor guide, registry system for Wedding Gifts, and more to help make it as stress free as possible. I figured there were probably other people who would like to use this as well...as it not only helps to plan, but can help you save gold bullion you have as well.

Bitter Cold Weather

Wow has it been cold lately. I actually have to start my car each morning just warm it up before going to work. I'm thankful it has been starting. The temps with the windchill have been up to 40 below...brrr!!! I can't believe how fast winter came. I guess it is Dec so it's not that surprising, but still a little depressing. I hope it's a short winter at least...I am already looking forward to warmer weather!!

Pickard Properties

It's every student's desire to have a great experience wherever they're living while in school. I know that the students living at Pickard Properties feel this way...and they definitely have it good!! Pickard was voted as the number 1 landlord in Leeds, UK by his tenants. The student accommodation in leeds is amazing. Not only do they have 24 hour maintenance, bills included with their rent and 100% renewable energy resources with the utility bills when possible...but they also offer burglary alarms, furniture, fire alarms, washing machine, electric shower and much, much more!! It was all very impressive. The lifestyle of those who live here is elite and well taken care of. What a caring environment and one that makes life a bit easier. Without having to worry about so many bills and ealing with uncaring landlords...I'd say these tenants have it VERY well!!

Christmas Time

My wife was showing me a great Christmas song she came across yesterday. We hear so many Christmas songs on the radio this time of year, but how often do we really stop and listen to the message it is speaking of?? Many of us get so wrapped up in the busyness of the holiday that we forget to remember what Christmas is all about. May we pause this holiday season and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season, and all he has done for us! Let us remember to serve Him, not only this time of year, but every day of the year.

Optical4Less

The Internet is a great resource, isn't it?! I mean...no matter what we're looking for...chances are we'll find it here with very little effort. The problem is, there are so many sites offering the same thing. The good thing is, many of the GREAT sites stand out. Like Optical4Less for instance. This is a terrific site that I've known about for a while now, but wanted to pass along to others who wear eye glasses and need to find something in their price range. If that's you, you've come to the right place. Optical4Less.com offers high quality prescription eyeglasses at prices you won't find anywhere else....as low as 15 dollars! That's something I'm definitely interested in, how about you? I found some great eyeglasses that would be perfect for me, and their cheap too! I personally think it's a "no-brainer", I mean...who would want to go and buy a hundred dollar pair of glasses, when you can find the perfect one right here on this site? The good thing is that their site is very user friendly too....so finding what you need is a breeze. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to learn more about Optical4Less head over to this site today for more information. The economic circumstances are rough...and Optical4Less can help make your financial situation a little brighter and clearer!

Telemarketers

Do you ever get tired of all the telemarketing calls?? My wife is a stay at home mom, and each night when i get home from work, she tells me that the phone simply rings off the hook. Yesterday she actually showed me all the calls her cell phone even received.....10 calls that were from telemarketers. She has stopped answering them because she doesn't have the time. It's frustrating because all of our numbers are on DO NOT CALL Lists, but they still call. Does anyone else have this problem?

LA Police Gear

If you're someone who has been looking for a place where you can find great police gear.....you don't need to look any further than www.lapolicegear.com. That's right!! All you could ever want is right here on this site. Isn't the Internet a great thing?! LA Police Gear offers everything from boots to under armour to Surefire. It's definitely worth your time to take a moment and check it out. They offer a variety of products at prices you will definitely appreciate. Check it out and see what you think. You won't be sorry you did.

Blog for Money

I really enjoy blogging. Don't you?? I like being able to share my thoughts and opinions on things....while also being able to browse and read other blogs as well. The greatest part of it is that people can actually make a little cash blogging as well. So many people blog, but don't realize the benefit to doing so. If you're looking to make a little extra money each week...blogging is the perfect option. It's a legit way to make a significant amount of money!

Prison Inmate Locator Site

I recently came across a very interesting site that I had no idea even existed!! Have you ever checked out the Prison Inmate Locator?? It doesn't matter what state you're looking in....you can use this nationwide prison Ohio Inmate Locator, quickly and easily. For records and license information, www.prisoninmatelocator.org can help you find the vital information you're looking for. If you're interested, you can head over there and learn more. It's a very easy to use website and one you won't have any problem navigating. Check it out and see what you think today.

Do You Enjoy Movies?

Jenna could not believe that there are two very popular movies that I've never seen before. Pearl Harbor is one of them, and the second is the Titanic. I know I can't be the only one out there who's never seen these movies, but she was quite surprised. She told me that she thinks I"ll like them, so I'm going to watch at least one of them with her tonight I think. We own the Titanic, so that's the one we'll probably watch this weekend. Sometime we'll have to go ren Pearh Harbor....I'm sure I'll like it.

Got a Wish?

This time a year it's fun to browse the web and see all there is to do. There are some really great websites like http://www.sitonsantaslap.com/?utm_source=b . Have you ever checked it out? I hadn't until I recently stumbled upon it. I thought it was great and wanted to pass the news along! Do you got a wish that you need to tell Santa? If so, this site is perfect. This is a site that allows you to upload a photo of yourself. Basically you just have to be at least 18 years old, a resident of the US and submit a photo that is appropriate. I tried it out and thought it was pretty fun. I chose a funny picture of myself from last Christmas at this time. It was one of the only photos I could find of myself looking directly into the camera...many of the pictures we have of me are more candid or with someone else and not just me. It was fun to try this experience and to learn more about the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. I've seen many different photo frames over the past couple of years, but none compare to this. It's very unique, as it can automatically receive photos via phone or wi-fi and offers a picture plan lifetime warranty. It's definitely worth looking into...as it would make an exceptional gift this holiday season!! The price is amazing and the quality seems perfect for anyone looking to buy one. Once you enter a photo you can have the chance to be selected for a prize of 500 dollars. Each day one random entry is selected for this cash prize...and it could be you! So, what are you waiting for. Head over to SitonSantasLap.com and check it out!! You can really make a wish come true with this terrific photo frame or cash prize!!

Weather

The weather is cold out there today. On my way to work this morning I heard that it could turn pretty bad by this afternoon...they're talking a wintery mix which is no fun at all!! I work 45 minutes from home, so I'm obviously hoping for this cold, but nice weather to stick around as long as possible...at least until after I get home later. That would be great. I guess we'll wait and see what the weather decides to do though, you just never know.

Supercharge your Ride!

My brother-in-law just got a new car just a few months ago and is already looking for ways to increase its performance. His Mazada RX8 is one of the elite sports cars that Mazada makes but it lacks a little in power, so the only way to fix this problem is to supercharge it with turbochargerpros.com. With turbochargerpros.com you can find the best air induction system that will increase the performance of your ride. Whether you want a Volkswagen turbocharger or an Audi turbocharger, you can find it here. With the performance of your vehicle at steak, trust your ride with the pros who know turbochargers.

Busy, Busy!

This weekend we've sure been able to get a lot done. We are trying to get little projects done around the house...and one of the big ones we had to do still was the cleaning out of the storage closet. It was a big job...but went fairly smoothly. We ended up filling a couple of garbage bags full of stuff we could toss out...and then organized everything so we can actually have space to walk around in there a bit. It sure looks nice!!

Sit on Santa's Lap!

If you haven't visited sitonsantaslap.com you really should!! I checked it out and really enjoyed it. I tried the Site on Santa's Lap Experience where you upload a photo and it was really cute. I chose a goofy picture of myself over halloween...it was funny! I really enjoyed learning more about the sweepstakes that they're offering as well. Basically if you're over 18 and are the person in the photo you can register in the Got a Wish Sweeepstakes. It's really that simple! Doesn't get much easier than that. I thought that the experience was fun and unique...as well as really easy. I enjoyed learning more about the unique CEIVA Digital Photo Frame and all that it had to offer. This digital photo frame is so great because it's different than any other photo frame I've come across so far. Basically it can receive pictures right from your phone or Wi Fi. You definitely have to see it...it's amazing! And the price is great too!

So, what are you waiting for? Check out their site today, enter your photo and register in the sweepstakes. 29 winners will be chosen...one for each day that the contest goes on, to win 500 per person! That's a lot of money and a great incentive this time of year!

Kaelyn Dancing

Nothing is better than watching Kaelyn dance and smile!! :) Kaelyn has always loved to dance, but as she gets older she does it more and more. Now that she's standing well on her own...she'll even bounce her legs a bit and really gets into whatever music is playing. She smiles and laughs....it's the cutest thing ever!! She's such a sweetie and has brought so much joy into our lives!! I can't imagine my life without her in it!

Mangareader Site

Recently there was a new mangareader site launched that I thought I'd share with everyone. Manga.animea.net is the site where you'll find lots of different manga to choose from. Whether you're looking for a topic on Romance or one that's more comic....this site has it all! I appreciated the user friendliness of the site, but also the fact that it is updated daily. This ensures that you're not going to miss anything. In looking through the Manga they offer, I was most impressed with Naruto and suggest you read naruto too, but many of them impressed me. Check out this site when you get the chance. You won't be sorry you did!

That Time of Year!

We put up our Christmas tree this weekend, but were so busy with everything that we didn't really get the chance to enjoy it much. That's why I was happy to come home last night and sit down with Jen and Kaelyn and just enjoy the tree and all the lights. It's such a great time of year...one of my favorites. Having all this snow on the ground and the Christmas decorations up...it's really starting to feel a lot like Christmas!

Motorcycle Fans

Do you love motorcycles? Do you enjoy searching for the best deal on yamaha parts and accessories? If so, you should check out a site I recently came across. Cruisercustomizing.com is the site and it has a great deal of parts and accessories to choose from. What I was most impressed with wasn't only their quality of products offered, but also how user friendly their site was. It was easy to navigate and I had an easy time finding the things I was looking for. Check it out and see what you think today!

Exhausted

We sure had a busy weekend! I had a lot of fun, but I'm still exhausted from not getting as much sleep as I normally do. Jen and I usually go to bed around the same time every night, but lately I've had to turn in before her. I just need to catch up on my sleep (if that's actually possible), so that I can feel more rested during the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day if I get a good nights sleep tonight.

Nikon Promotions

Have you heard of the great Nikon Ultimate Hunter's Package Promo going on with Nikon Sport Optics, NikonProGear and NikonHunting.com?? I recently learned of it and was quite impressed. They are offering a special Ultimate Hunter's Package that includes things like the ProStaff 3-9x40 Riflescope with BDC Reticle, ProStaff Laser Rangefinder, and much more! I think a package where you're saving 144.90 dollars on high quality hunting equipment is pretty great!! There are many people I know who would love something like this. If you'd like to learn more about this great offer....head over to NikonProGear.com today!! You won't be sorry you did.

Tired

We had a great weekend, but boy am I tired. We have been going, going, going since Thursday morning. We had a great time at all three of the Thanksgivings we had on Thursday...got lots of yummy food and some time with our wonderful families! Friday we went shopping and found some outstanding deals and then went to the movie Fireproof! What a great movie!! Today we helped Jen's parents get their C-mas decorations up and now are working on our own. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little more relaxing for us before the work week starts up again.

Holsted Jewelers

Have you ever heard of Holsted Jewelers before? I had, but never had taken the time to check out their selection until just recently. They have been in business since 1971 and provide high quality designer jewelry, gifts and accessories at affordable prices!! Their large selection of fashionable merchandise is what has me interested in purchasing from this this holiday season. I also like knowing that they have millions of satisfied customers who have been with them for years! If you're looking for cutting edge designs and true classics when it comes to the discount jewelry you buy...Holsted Jewelers may be the place you want to shop. Check it out and see what you think!

Dancing Baby

My favorite thing to watch is Kaelyn dancing. She just loves music...so anytime she hears it she begins to dance. It's so fun to see her so happy all the time! :) Watching a baby dance is the cutest thing ever. Isn't it funny how we're all born with that natural tendency to move when we hear music. So cool!! She's even started to stand up in the middle of the room and stand there and dance on her own. That's a big thing, because Kaelyn has just started to stand on her own just recently.

Part of being a Homeowner....

Well...I have quite the busy day today. I'm helping Jen clean the house...then I have to get painting the ceiling in our family room. I started it last weekend, but have to finish it today. I'm not looking forward to it as it's a messy job...but I guess it's got to get done. I also have to recaulk our bath tub upstairs and do some raking if the ground dries up a little bit today. It seems like there's always something to do...I guess that's part of being a homeowner.

Vacation Time

Karisma Hotels is a place I'd really like to go visit at some point in the near future. This resort collection is located on the beautiful beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya and offers a new gourmet-inclusive concept that I'd love to be a part of. They offer an elite level of service and make it a truly relaxing vacation that travelers will never forget! I was impressed to learn that they have many accommodations like beach side service gold where they treat you lik, swim up rooms, ocean views and more! I don't know about you, but this is definitely a mexico vacation that sounds good this time of year. Check out their site if you'd like more information about them.

Movies

Speaking of movies....Jenna could not believe that there are two very popular movies that I've never seen before.

National Treasure Movie

I really enjoy watching movies. Recently Jen and I had the opportunity to watch the second National Treasure movie at her parents house. That is such a great movie! I would love to own it. It left us thinking that there will probably be a third one coming out at some point, but who knows. I just know if they do put out a third one I will definitely want to see it. I think Jen will too....she loved both the first and second one a lot as well!

Denver Magazine

It's always nice to learn more about the cities you are going to visit. Wouldn't you agree?? I know we do. Jen and I have been talking about planning a trip to Colorado, but wanted to learn more about all they have to offer. I happened to come across the monthly feature of the Denver Magazine and really liked all the information it presented. Whether you're looking for business, political or cultural news...or maybe just information on Denver Restaurants and entertainment...they have it all. If you'd like to learn more about the great city of Denver for yourself...check out their site today.

Winter Weather

I'm envious of my brother-in-law who is in LA right now. We are having bitter cold weather...almost freezing temps and he is in the warm state of California for business. He's been able to take a couple of days and enjoy the beach and all the city has to offer. I would love to visit a place like that this time of year. Maybe someday I'll be able to. I know Jen would really like that as well. We're just not ready for winter weather yet.

Kaelyns Pics

We recently had Kaelyn's one year pictures. It took a lot of phone calls to get the date set up to get the pictures taken with the photographer that we wanted, but finally got it scheduled. Overall we thought they turned out great. We even were able to get a couple of family ones done as well. It's always fun to compare the pics and see how much she has grown. Now we won't get pics again until she's two...so that will be a big difference I imagine.

Allegro Medical

These days you can find almost anything you need right online. It makes it really easy, especially those who aren't as capable of venturing out and doing a lot of shopping. I know we're kind of the type of people who would much rather shop online...with a little child it's just easier. Browsing the web I found Allegro Medical which makes it easy for people to get the medical equipment and health care supplies that they need. I thought this was great, and is actually a site that we'll probably use often. They offer products such as exercise and fitness equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, maternity/baby supplies and more! That really covers a great deal of things that we could definitely use. Whether you're looking for baby supplies or even a foley catheter this is definitely the place you should check out first. Their site is very user friendly.

Our new camera

Yesterday I got a call from Jen saying that we got our new camera in the mail. For those who don't know the story.....Jen had gotten a new Kodak digital camera for her birthday from my mom and I, but within months the LCD screen accidentally got broken. We were looking into getting the same camera again...but the battery life on it was not good at all. When we saw that we could get a Nikon Cool Pix for not much more money we decided to go that route. After having the chance to look over and try it...it seems like a camera we're really going to enjoy. We just have to learn about all the features and how to get the best pictures from it.

Tactical Pants

There are so many sites out there, sometimes it can be hard to find what you're looking for. That's why I like to pass on a good site when I find one. Recently I came across Operator tactical pants. If you've ever been looking for great deals on quality tactical pants, this is the site! They offer a variety for you to choose from at deals you won't want to pass up. Take a look and see for yourself. You won't be sorry you did.

Cold Outside

Wow, it sure is cod out there today! The snow is blowing and the ground is covered in white. I have to do a few things outside today and I'm really not looking forward to it. I prefer to be inside on cold days like this. Oh well...what can you do I guess. I am looking forward to getting the Christmas lights up at least. That will be fun to get it feeling more like Christmas around here. It doesn't seem like it should already be that time of year....but it is and I'm excited! :)

Capella University

Capella University is a fully accredited online university that leads with their offerings of masters and phd degrees. It's a great option for working adults, as you can still keep your career and go to school at the same time. They are a growing online school with many options available to those wanting to further their education. You can learn a great deal about their school by simply checking out capella.edu. They have a very user-friendly site that makes it easy to find the information you're looking for. They also release inside online education podcasts. Recently it was an interview with Beverly Enns, who is a faculty chair for reading/literacy there. It's always interesting to see what staff and students have to say about online colleges like this. Check it out for more information.

Great 1/2 Day Off

With all the crappy weather we've had the last couple of days, it was nice to get a day off during the week. My job is nice because if anyone in my family has a doctors appointment I can use my sick leave to go to it. So yesterday I was able to go to Kaelyn's 1 year doctors appointment. So I took a 1/2 day of sick pay to go. It's so nice to have a job that allows me to do things like that.

Black Friday

Recently I was just looking to see if some of my favorite stores had put out their Black Friday ads. Can you believe it's that time of year already?? Wow! I can't! Unfortunately I have not been able to find many black friday ads yet, but I did find a great Black Friday website which is out there to help people save money when shopping on this wonderful thanksgiving day sale time!! In case you didn't know....Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving each year. This Black Friday site helps people purchase items online so you don't have to worry about standing in long lines or hassling the crowds. How you ask? Well they make the ads available to you so that you are able to see the deals before the day. You can even put in your e-mail and they will let you know when ads have been put up. I'm definitely interested in taking a look at the Best Buy deals and the target specials especially! ke to get for family members as well. Hopefully they will have some great deals! These are stores that I not only will find great deals for myself, but also for gifts that I would liWhat I like best about this site is how easy it is to use. It's VERY user friendly and easy to find the stores and ads you're looking for.

Trick or Treating

I was thinking back to the weekend today as I was driving home from work...and what a wonderful time we had!! I especially had a fun time getting Kaelyn all dressed up in her Halloween costume and taking her trick or treating. I have always dreamed of being able to take my kids trick or treating, and I finally got the chance. We had such a good time. It has me looking forward to many years to come and more children to take out along with Kaelyn!

Andy Barkate

With the economic hardships our country is facing, it's nice to know that there are still people out there, like Anthony Barkate who are helping. He is a financial executive and has many years of experience in the financial services industry. He is the owner and president of Califronia Retirement Plans LLC and holds many financial and retirement planning workshops for corporations and government entities like NASA, Shell Oil, Pacific Bell and many more. I think it's great that he's out there, as a speaker and author helping people plan through this difficult time. And what's great to know is how experienced and knowledgeable he is about this subject.

Officially ONE!

Well, my little girl is officially one! It hardly seems like it's possible that a year has gone by already. But, this weekend we celebrated her first birthday. We had such a wonderful time! I think she enjoyed all the family around and being able to open gifts and have new toys to play with. :) Her birthday party was a "princess" theme and went very well. It's kind of sad that it's over, but I guess it marks the beginning of another year to cherish.

Black Friday

Black Friday is a day that my wife and I usually enjoy a day of shopping. We like to find the best deals possible for all of our holiday shopping. We have a lot of family between the two of us that we need to buy for each year and this is the best possible day to do that in the whole year! I'm sure if you've ever been out shopping on this day, you definitely know how wonderful it is. The only downfall to this day is all the people. It's hard to shop when you have to stand in lines for hours and get up at 5am. That's why it's now possible to shop online and get the same deals! How great is that? You can now get the deals you want from the comfort of your own home. And iblackfriday.com will help with that. They will even send you email alerts to let you know when the iblackfriday.com ads have been put out.

Check it out and see what you think for yourself. It's super user friendly and easy to find the merchants you're interested in! I for one am interested in finding Best Buy Deals....because I love electronics and so do many of the people I'm buying for this year. How about you? Where will you shop?

Time

Being there for my family is very important to me, not only in a time of need but to see them and spend time with them when I can. My past job didn't allow me to do this, I never knew when I was going to get home and it was always around 6. Now I am often times home by or around 5 and that is great! Now I can spend the time with family that I want.

Rehab Program

It seems so many people these days are searching for the right treatment program...both for drug addiction or alcohol addiction. One thing I've learned from those that I know and the things I've read, is that it's really important to find a treatment center that's right for you...one that puts the patient's best interest first! I came across Promises Treatment Center, an alcohol treatment center, and they do just that. They're hear to help give you hope and healing. They want to help you find sobriety and achieve those dreams in life that you've always had. If you'd like to learn more about them, check out their site for more information.

Time Flies!

The countdown begins....in les than a week Kaelyn will be one! It's kind of a bittersweet time for me. I'm glad that she's growing into such a beautiful and sweet little girl...but it's also a little sad as I think how quickly the time has gone. It seriously feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. Every parent that ever told me how fast the times goes definitely knew what they were talking about.

Give to Charity

Do you shop online? Do you have charities that you'd like to give to? If you answered yes to both of these questions then you may want to read further! www.agoodcause.com is a global partnership between 700 different charities like Save the Children, Red Cross and many others that I'm sure you've heard of! They want to help make the world a better place by allowing online shoppers to support their favorite charities for free! All you have to do is shop as you normally would and if you've downloaded the AidMaker software in more than 5000 stores they will donate a portion of what you paid to your faovrite charity. I'm definitely looking into this, and you should too! Check it out and see what you think.

Fun and Busy Week!

Well...it's another week and I'm off to work. I am not complaining though...I love my job!! It's the greatest. I actually look forward to going each day. It was nice to have the weekend off though, that's for sure! The one thing about this week is that we have a lot going on. We have "trick or treating" and then Kaelyn's birthday party....so I am kind of hoping it goes by quickly. I'm definitely going to be off this weekend as I wouldn't miss these fun events for anything!!

Power Properties

I recently learned of Braden Power. My brother in law lives down in Dallas Texas, and told me about him and his company, Power Properties. I guess they're really well known down in that area. They have been in the real estate development business for about 18 years! What they do is rehabilitate buildings in areas of Dallas that are considered to be more run down. From what I hear, Braden Power has a gift for creating a space that many would love...especially those who are young, single professionals! If you'd like to learn more about Braden and his business...check out the Power Properties site today.

Dentist

Today is Thursday!! Typically I'd be happy because it means that tomorrow is Friday! I love Friday's because the weekend is upon us at that point. However, today is unlike other Thursdays because I have a Dentist appointment. I don't really mind the dentist, but like everyone....I don't care for it much. Hopefully it will go well and I won't have any cavities to report. That would be great! I hope it goes quickly so I can get home and see Jen and Kaelyn. That's always the best part of my day!

Cydcor

Have you ever heard of Cydcor before? They are a leader in face to face sales teams. I am very interested in sales, in fact I am in sales for a career. I was interested to learn more about Cydcor's many efforts. I actually got to read a very interesting press release that I thought I'd pass on.

Cydcor Supports Former Team Member Through Donation

Leading global provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams
and its team members provide funds and school supplies

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (October 3, 2008) – Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, and its team members recently made a donation to the Andinet International School in Ethiopia, in addition to packing and sending supplies for the school’s children and teachers.

In support a former Cydcor receptionist who moved to Ethiopia in August to teach English and art to impoverished children at Andinet, Cydcor donated $1,000 to the school and Cydcor team members individually contributed nearly $600 in additional funds.

“We look for opportunities to support our team members’ prosperity internally as well as externally while they pursue other goals and passions,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer of Cydcor. “At Cydcor, we try to create a philanthropic environment where our team members can support each other, and we all wanted to help her make a difference.”

Cydcor and its team members were also able to fill four boxes of binders, paper, padfolios, pens and pencils to be personally delivered to the school in Ethiopia. The money will be used to purchase student school and arts supplies, which are often limited or non-existent.

“The Andinet International School expresses heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution and personal delivery from Cydcor,” said Nefertiti Makeda, director of Andinet International School. “Our school is growing and we are always in need of educational materials.”

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Jen's birthday...I really wish I didn't have to work. I would love to spend the day with her and help her with Kaelyn. She deserves a relaxing day. Hopefully I can at least get off from work early at least. We'll have to see. It's hard when a birthday lands in the middle of the week. I still hope we can make it a special day for her. She so deserves it! She does so much for Kaelyn and I...we appreciate her SO much!

Dr Lark

Have you ever heard of Dr. Lark and the wonderful squalane skin care products you can get from their site at www.drlark.com before? I hadn't heard much about it until I came across it today while browsing the web and thought I should pass it along. I was amazed at the wonderful products they offer. I mean, who doesn't want something to help improve their skin's health, right?! I know I do. Their skin care products will help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, it can smooth and soften your skin and will even hydrate which is so important...especially this time of year when it's getting colder and drier out. If you'd like to learn more about their extremely reasonable priced products and their automatic order plans then you should check out their site today!

Make Money From Home

Do you make money online? If not, you should! It's so easy, and such a good way to make some extra money. I don't do it too often, but when I do it's some good money!! Blogitive is probably one of my favorite companies to blog for...as they make it easy to get opportunities and make money. There are other companies as well...but there are things about all of them that I am not too fond of. I think I will definitely blog for money as long as I can...it's great!

Lasik Technology

In a world with technology as the basis of everything we do...it does not surprise met that they've come up with a way to improve vision through the use of Lasik. This is not a new term to many people...as there are thousands who have already benefited greatly from this procedure. I always enjoy learning more about LASIK technology, and recently had that opportunity while ready an article.

The article stated that NASA and the US military have increased the ability of their personnel through the use of Lasik Surgery. This has been going on for civilians for over 5 years now! Now there's an ALL laser type of technology for those with NASA and the military. It's really a great thing...as the personnel with them are in dangerous situations and need their vision to be absolutely perfect! The most modern form of Lasik...now known as iLasik in case you've never heard of it has two lasers used instead of one. It's really interesting how all of this works. If you'd like to learn more about it, you can check out their site for more LASIK information today! I found it to be very interesting!

What a big girl!

Lately Kaelyn has been jabbering a lot!! She's been squealing and really making a lot of sounds too. She's too cute. She even moves her eyebrows like she's really telling you a story. It's amazing how in six months she goes from a newborn who slept a lot, but a big girl who makes noises, moves all around the room and is eating baby food solids. I have sure enjoyed watching her change and grow. The time goes by too quickly though. I can't believe she'll be a year old soon!

Travel to Panama

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I didn't get to do it much as a child...but since I met Jenna we have done quite a bit of traveling! Her family loves to travel, so we've even gone some places with them too! It's great. One place that we've never been, but would love to go at some point is the Casco Antiguo region of Panama. I've done some research, and have heard many great things about this location...specifically their Hotel Casco Antiguo! It's basically a condo hotel, which would definitely be something we'd enjoy! I don't know about you, but a vacation away from this cold weather is starting to sound pretty good right now. I may just have to look into registering to purchase here. How about you? Do you enjoy traveling? If so, I strongly recommend you take a look as well. It's not only a beautiful place to visit...but also a great opportunity for investment and even a second home if you'd like. It's actually one of the fastest growing real estate markets in the world...so that's good...especially with the way the housing market is right now in many parts of the world. Take a moment and head over there today to see what they all have to offer you, and Register for an eBrochure Here. You won't be sorry you did!

Raking Like Crazy

This weekend I got a lot of raking done in our yard! We don't have a huge yard, but we do have HUGE trees. That means....LOTS and LOTS of leaves! It took me three hours to get the front yard done, and three truck loads to haul them away! Can you believe that!? I'm saving the back yard for next weekend I think. That's going to be an even bigger job...as I have three trees back there instead of two! I just couldn't finish it all on Saturday...too much raking for me.

Regency

Living in Minnesota I have definitely heard of the Regency beauty school. It's something very well known here...as it was founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis. However, I'm sure that many people from all over the country have heard of them...as they have expanded to include almost 30 campuses across 9 states!! Now that's amazing if you ask me. I have a cousin who has contemplated going into beauty school...and Regency is her top choice. What she likes is that the campuses feel like an actual salon. They give you the hands on experience you need to get a job in the working world. I think it's great she's looking into this school. If you'd like to learn more about Regency, take a look at their site today.

Days Flying By!

I have been talking a lot about my job lately, but that's because there's just so much to tell. I would have to say that the best thing about it...aside from spending time with my family is being able to go out and sell. I love sales and I think I'm pretty good at it too. :) It's nice to have a job that I enjoy doing each day. The one thing I have noticed though...is boy does it keep me busy! The days just fly by because I have so many meetings and things to do. It's fun though...and who doesn't like the day to fly by when you're at work, right?!?

I Love it!!

I'm really enjoying my new job. I love the time I get to spend with my family now!! Before I never knew when I'd be home and when I'd be working...now I kind of make my own schedule and know that I will get plenty of time to spend with Jen and Kaelyn each day. Family is VERY important to me, so to have a job like this is great. The Lord definitely knew what was perfect for me...and He found this job! I am so grateful and know that through patience and faith this job came to me. The timing is perfect and so is the job!

Holsted Jewelers

My wife enjoys jewerly. She likes everything from fashion jewelry to the more sophisticated and fancy jewelry. I've bought her all kinds through the years and am glad that she enjoys getting it. It's something that I find very easy to buy for her...as there's always such a selection. I especially enjoy looking at Holsted jewelers online. Have you ever taken a look at their site?? They really have a lot to offer....their selection is outstanding! I find that it's easy to get just the right thing...it's unique and good quality. I also enjoy the prices they offer as well. Take a look when you get the chance...I think you'll agree that Holsted Jewelers is the place to be.

Birthdays

In our family this is the time of year for Birthdays!! Jenna's and her twin brother's is on the 21st of this month....then we have her brother's wife's which is on the 26th, and then we have Kaelyn's and their son's on Nov 1st and Nov 13th. It sure makes for a busy time...with lots of birthday celebrations. It's a lot of fun...just keeps us busy! On my side of the family April and August are the busy time for birthdays. At least they all don't end up at the same time as Jen's family...then we'd be VERY busy!haha

Great Job

I've been really enjoying my job. It took me a few weeks to really get familiar with all that I will be doing, but now that I'm learning more I feel really comfortable! My job is to sell seed, fertilizer and more. I not only keep the customers our company already has...but am also supposed to bring in new customers. I wasn't sure when that would start happening, but recently it's been happening quite often!! I'm very excited about that. I have farmers calling me from all over....YEAH! I'm so glad that this job is going so well. I knew it would.

Obama Supports Jones Act

Whether you're a supporter of Obama or not, you may have known or heard that he supports the federal law which offers financial compensation to seamen who are injured on the job. This is as a result of the employers negligence. I recently read that not only does the president of the Seafarers International Union support and endorse Obama after finding out he backs the Jones Act, but so does Mark and Associates, P.C. They are the leading personal injury law firm and they applaud Obama for his support. If you'd like to read more about this or the maritime lawsuit, you can head over to http://www.maritimelegalrights.com and http://www.jonesactrights.com.

Halloween Costume

Only a couple more weeks and Kaelyn and I will be going trick or treating. We're not going to all around the neighborhood, as she does not eat candy....we're more going just for the fun of it and to see some of the family members that live near by. I'm excited to get her dressed up in her little ladybug costume....she'll be so cute. We'll definitely have to get pictures of her and post them after the fact.

Auto Body Repair

We've had our share of body work to do on the vehicles we've owned over the years. It's never a fun thing. If there's ever a time when we need to do any body work again, I'd really like to take the time and do some research online! It seems that finding local body shops and getting ratings and reviews would be easiest in this manner. I'm especially interested in http://www.autobodyyorbalinda.com, as they have a wealth of information for those seeking collision repair yorba linda. You should definitely check their site out today for more information!

Something to think about....

It seems that once you have a baby you start to think about the things we put into our bodies when it comes to food, etc. I know that's how it's been for us. Now we think about not only the food we give to Kaelyn, but also the toys she plays with and the things she uses on a daily basis due to lead and other chemical toxins that are concerns for many of us. It's actually pretty scary to think about the dangers of lead. There are so many products and things that we must be cautious about. For instance, I recently learned that even bibs can be a concern. Who would have thought that? This would have never crossed my mind had I not come across an article talking more about it. Maybe the cloth, although more time consuming to keep clean, are the best way to go. It seems that sometimes convenience means more dangers...don't you think?!?

My Little Girl

It just seems like yesterday that we brought Kaelyn home from the hospital, and next month she'll be 11 months old. I can't believe it, my little girl has grown so much right before my eyes. Now I'm just waiting for her to start walking, she is so quick walking along furniture that it's only a matter of time for her to walk on her own. She's such a sweetie...we're very blessed to have her in our lives!

Home Sweet Home

I never really thought I would be trying to sell my house 1 year after buying it. We had actually considered being here a very long time. We both love our house and wish that we could pick it up and move it to the town that want to live in. We've done so much work to it just in the time we've lived here...and perfected it to our liking. Now we're on the house hunt, and it's a bit depressing. I know that there are lots of homes to choose from, but we feel as of now, that none will compare to the one we have. We know though, that with time and patience the perfect home will come along. I'm glad we're not in a hurry and can just take our time in this process of house hunting.

CSN

The Cable Shopping Network is a popular place for people to find a variety of collectibles and have fun while doing it. The staff at CSN builds relationships with their customers along the way. They already have thousands of customs who trust them to give them quality products, like presidential dollars, and I can see why just by looking at their site! They offer so many things, and seem like such a down to earth crew of people. You can order items online or off the TV. Shopping doesn't get much more convenient or fun than that now, does it?! If you'd like to learn more about CSN, check out their site today for more information.

2 More Days!

Although I love my new job, I still look forward to the weekends. Who doesn't, right??? So knowing that I for sure get my weekends off now...unlike with my other job, I get excited to plan my the things we will get to do as a family. I know that with harvest right around the corner there is no guarantee that I won't have to work some weekends, so I'm going to enjoy then while I can. It so nice just to relax and spend time with family...that what's truly enjoyable to me. Since having a family I'm more the type of person who just likes to be home rather than busy all the time.

I have time!

Being there for my family is very important to me, not only in a time of need but to see them and spend time with them when I can. My past job didn't allow me to do this, I never knew when I was going to get home and it was always around 6. Now I am often times home by or around 5 and that is great! Now I can spend the time with family that I want.

VoIP Phone Systems

I work for a fairly large business now, but used to work for a small one. Both however had some things in common. One of these things was their use of VoIP phone systems by Xpander! These phones are designed to be flexible and user friendly for the people that use them. I agree that they do just that! With the features like plug and play phones and web control panels...who wouldn't love them!? Whether you're a large or a small business, this is definitely the way to go as far as communication is concerned. You can learn more about them by heading over to their site today! You won't be sorry you did.

Keep on Truckin'

Everyday I have an 1 1/2 hour, round trip, to and from work. This wouldn't be so bad but the pickup that I'm driving doesn't have a radio. So I spend the time reflecting on my thoughts, which isn't alwya a good thing. With all that I have going on with starting a new job, I am overwhelmed with everything that's going on at work. Having 1 1/2 hours to thinking about what I need to do, things I need to learn, it can be quit overwhelming. Only a couple more weeks until I get a different one so I guess I'll just keep on truckin'.

Answer Plot

Working as a Sales Agronomist you have to be an expert on seed, chemicals, and fertilizer. The problem with that is I don't know anything about seed. So today I had the opportunity to meet with one of our Seed Reps and go over somethings that will help when dealing with farmers when selling seed. To start off our meeting he gave me some cool things, I got a knife, laptop backpack, t-shirt, and pen. Then we got down to business and spent 2 hours just starting with the basics and worked our way to how to sell seed to farmers. What a great day, I sure learned a lot!

Need Tickets?

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm big into sports! I especially like the NFL, but pretty much will watch anything. I would have to say that my one dream though is to go and watch a real live game in person. I have looked for tickets to the NFL, MLB and NBA and finally came across a great site that makes it easy to find first-class tickets...no more hassle! Premium Seats USA is the site I found, and they offer a huge selection of tickets for games and concerts even! I'm glad I found them. Now I just have to talk my wife into going with me. For all your ticket needs, like Miami Heat tickets for instance, check out this site first!

Gotta Love Chicken Litter

With one week of work under my belt, I can see that Chicken Litter is going to be key to my success. Why you may ask, well Chicken Litter is something that all farmers would like to have spreading on their fields. Unfortunately, there is only so much litter and so I get the task of deciding who should get it. The obvious answer would be to give it to our existing customers, which I'm doing, but there is a longer list of customers that don't do any business with us. So chicken litter is my saving grace to get new customer business. Let's sell some litter!

Trimming Trees

All summer Jenna and I have toyed with the idea of hiring someone to come and trim our trees. Then we got the estimate, $800 just to trim our trees! I could not believe it! Their reasoning was because they would have to climb the trees in order to trim them, well I think that I can do that. So this weekend I'm trimmin' trees!

Capella

If I were to ever go back to school...which is very possible at some point in the future...I would definitely look into Capella University first. They are a fully accredited online university and one that I have heard most about. They offer master's programs and a degree online that I could definitely be interested in. I like all that they have to offer, and the ability one has to go to school while still keeping the job that they have and doing their work from home rather than school. If you'd like to learn more about them, you can check out their Inside Online Education podcasts. These feature interviews with staff and students which I think is really interesting and I think you will too!

What's Happened to My Vikes

I just don't understand the people that manage these professional teams. Coach Childress, starts a second string quarterback for week three because he doesn't allow his first string quarterback to open up and play his game. In week 1 Jackson didn't even get the chance to pass the ball in the first half, then in the second half they opened up the playbook and let him play in the second half, which might I add, almost won the game. Week 2 the only time they let him play his game was the last two minutes of the first half, and that was about it. Now we are doing to rely on a second string quarterback to win us the game. Go Vikes!

Playing the Waiting Game

I just started my new job a week ago and when I took it there were some perks that were to go along with it, things I need to do my job. The main thing that I am waiting on is my laptop. My laptop is very important for me and my job, see I need to be able to access our database in order to place work orders for things going on in the fall season. So now I wait, and wait, and wait until my boss can find me a laptop for me to use. So I'll have to play the game.

Data Protection Solutions

Let's face it, today's economy is at all time lows, which makes it even that more important for companies to back up and protect their data. This can be a big task for many of these companies because they either don't know how, or they feel that there isn't a system out there big enough for what they do. Well I am here to tell you that this just isn't true. With data protection solutions not only will you have warehouse processing, but you will also have improved database loads, improved query performance, and most of all back up and protected data in distribution environments. Syncsort Incorporated has developed, marketed, and services high-performance software can help with all these things and help companies have a since of security again.

Baby Consignment Sale

Once we had Kaelyn, we started going up to the cities to a huge consignment sale that goes on twice a year. They basically have everything any parent would need for their child....especially clothing. Everything is used, but in great condition for the most part and so cheap!! We recently went up again to stock up on clothes for Kaelyn to get her through the winter months and had great luck!! She's pretty well set between the things we got and the things Jen's parents got for her!! It's so ncie to have aplace to find cheap clothing. Babies grow too fast to spend hundreds of dollars on clothes.

My New Job-First week

It's been a week since I started my new job and I really like it a lot!! I didn't mind the job I had before...but being in a job that you absolutely love is what everyone deserves!! I am so glad that the Lord has given me this opportunity to be a part of a job that is so perfect for me. I can now do what I love and help others while doing it. So far I really enjoy everyone that I work with and all that my job entails. I could definitely see myself doing this for a very long time!! I'll continue to keep you updated on how everything is going!

Epocrates, Inc

Have you ever heard of Epocrates, Inc before? If so, you probably have heard of their medical software that is used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals. What you may not know is that they have a new web based application that offers a free online drug and disease resource center for clinicians. It's great because it's easy to use, free, and so quick!! Now they have access to information like risk facotrs, condition overviews like Influenza Infection information, treatments, drug interactions and more! I think it's amazing how far technology has come to have somethign so useful right in the hands of doctors who need it. If you'd like to learn more, you can head over to their site and see for yourself what this online clinical solution is all about!
This announcement was paid for by Epocrates

First day at a new job

My first day of the new job was yesterday. I have to say that so far I'm really excited!! I think it will be a fun change for me, and since sales is something I enjoy, I know I will like it a lot. Like any job, it's a bit overwhelming with all of the new stuff I need to learn and just getting used to working for a new company...but I think I'll catch on quickly and then it will be a piece of cake. In the beginning people are always a bit nervous I'm sure. The best part is that I work with a whole lot of really nice and helpful people. That always makes a job that much better. I'll continue to keep you posted on how it's going!

Seafood Recipes!

Before I married Jen, I didn't have a liking for many different foods besides meat and potatoes. I know, I know...that sounds funny and a little cliche, but it's true!!! Throughout the years though, she has encouraged me to try new things, and now one thing I really enjoy from time to time is shrimp. Have you ever had it? If not, you're truly missing out!! Recently I heard of the Great American Seafood cook off 2008, so I checked out their site to see if I could find some some great seafood recipes. Obviously I was hoping to find something great with shrimp, and of course, I did! You should check it out next time you get a chance! I was really excited to have found something like The Texas Gulf Shrimp by Chef Mark Holley from Texas, that was probably my favorite out of the top five recipes chosen.

Many people are unsure about eating seafood because they're not sure how fresh it is or what it will taste like. I am here to tell you that I've learned by eating domestic seafood you not only get fresh food, but it's local and tastes great!! Something to think about the next time you're considering seafood.

If you'd like to learn more about great seafood and check out some amazing recipes you can go and vote at www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com for a chance to win a trip to New Orleans!! Their site is really user friendly and fun to browse too!

Needing to earn more money.....

More and more people lately are probably doing the same thing I am....trying to find different ways to make money. Whether it be different jobs that pay better, or jobs on the side.....there's good news.....there are options out there if we just take the time to look. One way that we like ot make a little extra cash is through ebay. Jen has been doing some changes around the house and has been selling a lot of decorative items on there. What's "old news" to one person, may be just the thing that someone else is looking for. I really enjoy that there's such an easy way to sell things and make some quick cash. It's SO simple and anyone could do it. If you're wanting to earn a bit more eBay is one way to go most definitely!!

Bittersweet Day Tomorrow

It's odd to think that tomorrow is my last day with my current job! Although I'm very excited to move forward on this journey God is taking me on....I'm also a little sad to be leaving some of my co-workers!! Many of them have been such great friends to me....I will definitely miss them greatly! I'm hoping that I will see them often though. On the otherhand, this new job is all I can think about and makes me more excited each day that passes. One more day and I will officially be an employee of FC! It is my absolute dream job and one I am so blessed to have!! I will keep you posted on the job and how it is going....

Personal Injury Attorney

Recently Jen and I had to swtich our car insurance because of rates changing. When we did this, I got to thinking about some of the car accidents I've been in, and how very blessed I am that neither I, nor someone else has ever been seriously injured. It seems we hear of serious car or motorcycle accidents quite frequently these days. I hope those involved know that they may be owed payment for the suffering and pain that they've had to endure. Does this sound like you or someone you know? If so, you may want to contact the Demerath Law Office and speak with the Nebraska Personal Injury Attorney, Larry R. Demearth. He has at least 35 years experience and knows how to help you. You can set up a free consultation today...so head over to his site and learn how!

My Birthday

Yesterday I had a very nice birthday! Although most of the day was spent at work, I still was able to spend some quality time with Jen and Kaelyn....as well as my mom. I also got to talk with many of my family members as they wished me happy birthday!! Isn't it crazy though how quickly the time goes? My birthday came and went so fast, it's hard to believe it's already over. I guess that's the way it goes though. At least I had such a nice day! It's always special when it involves family. Now we look forward to celebrating Jen's birthday and kaelyn's in a couple of months. That will be fun as well!!

So Much Has Changed....

Wow! So it hasn't been too long since I posted last, but much has changed. For a while now I have been praying about my job and wondering if it's really where the Lord wanted me to stay, or if He had something better for me. As I prayed for guidance, people began popping up along my path. Sales has always been my primary interest, so when a recruiter for an agronomy sales position approached me, I was all ears. As time went on, it became more and more clear to Jen and I that this is where the Lord was leading us. This past weekend I did one of the toughest things in my whole life....sitting down with my family (my uncles and Grandpa who are my bosses) and told them that I was leaving and taking another position with this agronomy sales company. Overall, they handled it pretty well and I am now two weeks away from starting the job of my dreams! It offers everything I could have ever wanted and more! God is good!! There will definitely be things I miss about my current job, but I look forward to all God has for me in the new one! I will be sure to keep you posted.

Working Hard

I thought I might get some work done in the basement tonight, but really didn't get around to it. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do tomorrow either...as it all depends how late I have to work. Hopefully not too late...as it's really exhausting having to come every night so late. I feel like I hardly get any time to spend with Jen and kaelyn and also just feel so worn out that all I want to do is go to bed. I can't wait for this part of the season to be over with. I need to be home more than I am at work, and that's just not how it's been lately.

Family Time

Jen has been doing such a terrific job decorating in our basement. She has some really great ideas and I think once everything is said and done that she's going to have done a fantastic job!! We don't have too much work left to do...I can't wait to see the finished product with all her stuff up on the walls. It's going to look SO nice. I have a feeling we'll be spending lots of time down there then. Kaelyn will have her playroom, and we'll have a nice family room to watch television and spend time together as a family.

Regency

If you're someone looking into going into the profession of cosmetology, then you may want to check into Regency. They are the fastest growing beauty school in the country having over 30 campuses across the US and continually expanding. They offer a high quality training where students get hands on experience. If this is something you'd like to learn more about and possibly pursue...check ou ttheir site today for more information on their beauty schools in texas.

Make Money Online

Do you make money online? If you don't, you should! It's so easy, and such a good way to make some extra money. I don't do it too often, but when I do it's some good money and quite enjoyable!! Blogitive is probably one of my favorite companies to blog for...as they make it easy to get opportunities and make money. There are other companies as well...but there are things about all of them that I am not too fond of. I think I will definitely blog for money as long as I can...it's great!

Doing Laundry

One of the jobs that I usually end up doing around the house is laundry. It's something that Jen doesn't have a lot of time for since she is busy with Kaelyn and other things, so I usually do it. I don't really mind it too much. The only thing I don't like is the folding part. Even though it's something that I can do in front of the television or somewhere else...it's still not something I like to do too much. Oh well I guess...it's one of those things that has to be done.

Las Vegas

Boy does a vacation sound good right now!! So many people are taking vacations, but I still have yet to do that this summer. I was talking with Jen and we thought it would be fun to look into Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Hotels and Las Vegas Shows are supposed to be amazing. Just for fun I went searching and came across the Best of Vegas website. They offer great information and the best prices on all kinds of things...everything from hotels to attractions to entertainment. I was really happy I came across it and definitely will have to read up more when we decide if this is where we're going. If you're looking for the best information on Las Vegas vacations, this is the site for you!

It's Coming Along...

I'm happy to say that it seems our basement work is getting finished little by little. The big things are done, but there is still a little bit of trim to put up...as well as the bedroom door. We're trying to work on one room at a time so that we actually feel like we're finishing something. We basically just have the playroom left to do which is such a good feeling! Everything is coming along is working so great! I will definitely have to post pictures soon. I'm so pleased with how it's all looking!

Saying "dada"

Within the past couple of weeks Kaelyn has begun to say one of the things every daddy can't wait to hear their baby say.... "dada"! :) She has been saying "dada" for a long time, but only recently has it seemed to have the actual meaning of "daddy"!!! Obviously that's me and it just pulls on my heart strings every time I hear it!! I know it may not sound like a big deal to some people...but to a new parent it's the neatest thing in the world! It has me looking forward to all the other milestones she will come across over the years. Anyways...I just had to share this proud moment. :)

Allegro Medical

Having an interest in the medical field as much as I do...you can be sure that I've heard of many different useful websites out there. Allegro Medical is one of them, and I continually learn new things about them as time goes on. Like they have recently added some new features and products to their site. That was exciting to find out! For those who aren't all that familiar with them, Allegro Medical was founded in 1996 and is now one of the largest independent online retailers for life enhancing products. They have over one million customers who take advantage of all the supplies and products they offer. Whether it's exercise and fitness equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, maternity/baby supplies, or outdoor gear...they have it all! Head over to their site and learn more about duocal and all they have to offer you!

Bugs and Plants

I was watering the plants the other night and noticed that the bugs have really attaked a few of our plants on one side of the house in particular. I'm not sure what the bugs are, or why they chose that side of the house, but I don't know how to prevent it. I sprayed some bug stuff around the foundation twice this summer, and it seemed to keep the bugs away...all except that side of our home. Next summer I'll have to try something different.

Neverending Work

It seems like the work is neverending at our house. We've been working on the basement and there are still things left to do. I feel like once I get this trim put on the work will finally come to an end. Well, except for the decorating...which is something Jen likes to do. I'm looking forward to just taking a night to relax and enjoy all the work we've done. Then, I'm sure after that we'll be starting on something else down there...probably the bathroom.

YEAH!

I am so glad that the work week is over!! I couldn't be happier that I have a long weekend. It has been one LONG week, that's for sure!! I've been working late every night, and then come home and work in our basement until midnight. Tomorrow we get our carpet and then our basement should be pretty well finished!! I am SO happy about that. :) YEAH!!! I'll try and post pictures once everything is in it's place to give you an idea of what we've been working on all this time.

Busy Week

I'm sure glad that today is my last day of work for the week!! I've been looking forward to tomorrow because it's the day we get our new carpet put in downstairs in our basement. It's going to look really nice. Even though I'm looking forward to it, it's meant being VERY busy the past few days painting and trying to get as much done as possible!! It's been very hard to find the colors we want and stuff. I'm glad it's almost all done!!

Epocrates, Inc

I enjoy browsing the web and sharing new information with people. Recently I read some interesting information in a press release that I felt was worth sharing. Epocrates, Inc has been credited with creating PDA medical reference software for doctor's who need access to drug guide information like drug dosing, side effects and even health plan coverage. How convenient is that to have access to all that information right there from their PDA?!! It's not only nice for the health care professional, but also the paitent who now doesn't have to sit in the exam room and wait for the doctor to get the drug information in a different room. You can learn more on their site today!
This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

Busy Painting

Boy have we been busy so far this week!! Every night I've been working down in our basement, trying to get the painting done before our carpet gets laid on Friday. It isn't going quite as smoothly as we had hoped...and is taking us a bit longer to get it all done. Tonight is my last chance to get things painted and finished, because I'm afraid if we have to paint tomorrow it won't be dry by the following morning when the guys come to lay the paint. I'm going to be working hard to get it all done tonight!!

Fun Weekend

What a good feeling it is to already be Friday. I always look forward to my weekends....as this is the main time that I not only can get some work done around the house, but most importantly it is the time when I can spend with my wonderful wife and daughter!! I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Jen and I have been talking about going to the pool with Kaelyn for the first time! I really think Kaelyn would enjoy that. We've also been throwing around the idea of going to the zoo as well. We'll see how he weather cooperates, but either way...being with them will make this weekend wonderful!

Interesting Research

There are many controversial topics among us today...but one of the ones I hear about most is that of stem cell research. I typically do not listen too closely to the discussion on stem cell harvesting, but today I read something that was quite interesting! Researches have actually found that there are important stem cells that can be harvested from a woman's menstrual blood. Women don't often think of getting ill, number one because they don't have time to think about it with work, family, etc...and also when they're in the prime of life this is not something that comes to mind. Now though, it's simple to help make sure you that you and your family will be protected from some devastating illnesses and diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. C'elle is a service that wants to help give women a method for collecting and preserving stem cells from their menstrual fluid each month. It's really quite interesting and something you can learn more about on their site through a Celle Client Testimonial and in the following press release:

Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood

July 07, 2008: 01:28 PM EST

OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood.

Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies.

"C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings."

For more information about C’elle, please call 1-877-892-3553 or visit www.celle.com.

Kaelyn's First Parade

Jen and I had the opportunity to take Kaelyn to the parade here in town over the holiday weekend. It was her first parade, so we didn't know how she'd react, or how she'd like it. Thankfully it was a big hit...and she loved it!! She sat in her stroller and on our laps and just starred at all the floats. She did so good!! It got a little long though...so just before the parade ended she fell asleep. It was a good time! I'm glad we went.

Fun Weekend

I am really looking forward to this weekend. Time spent with family is always a good time. We're going to be spending time with my mom's side of the family and then Jen's family too!! It is definitely going to be a good time. I hope that the weather is nice like it always is...as the lake is a great place to spend the holiday weekend. We usually eat way too much, and get way too much sun , but it's still fun!

Shop For Weddings

I remember back when we were planning our wedding....it gets pretty expensive if I remember right. Every little detail costs money. Not only that, but it take a lot of time finding the perfect items that you are looking for. That's why I think it's great that there are now sites out there to make planning a wedding easier and less stressful. Shop For Weddings makes it easy for you to shop for weddings. You can find cheap and personalized wedding favors. Also...a wonderful source to find gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsman and wedding cameras. I was really impressed with all they had to offer...and I think you will be too. Check it out and see what you think.

Pests

Last night when i got home from work, Jen had asked me if I would go put the hose away. She was watering plants and the mosquitoes were attacking her like crazy. I went out and she was right...they were everywhere! Then tonight we heard the mosquito fogger truck go by. They spray some sort of a bug spray which is supposed to kill them off. I don't know if it really does any good or not...I sure hope so though. They make being outside no fun at all!

Curb Appeal

Recently we did some landscaping around our house. We kept it pretty simple, as this is what we like best. So far the plants and flowers all seem to be doing very well! I am surprised, as Jen nor I have green thumbs so to speak. They're all growing very well though, and have really added to the "curb appeal" of our house. At some point we would like to add some more rock to the front of the house and get rid of a HUGE tree in our front yard...but so far it's looking really nice!

Cable Shopping Network

Have you ever heard of the Cable Shopping Network? I hadn't until just recently but was quite impressed. It's a great place to find many products and collectibles that you might be looking for. As one of the most successful retailers in the collectibles industry...they are all about customer service and meeting your needs. If you'd like to learn more about the Cable Shopping Network...definitely check out their site today and the variety of products that they offer right here online! You can also check them out on television. So what are you waiting for? Take a minute and see what you think about presidential dollars today!!

Need to get to work

I suppose I better get working on the basement soon. I have been trying to do a lot of mudding and sanding over the past week and it's really coming along well. I want to be sure to keep it up, because the carpet people will be calling us soon and we definitely want to have all that done before the carpet gets laid. Hopefully even with the busy weekend that we have...we'll get it all done soon. That would be great!!

Summer Vacation

Jen and I have been seriously discussing taking a little vacation this summer. We don't want to go anywhere to far because of money, gas and having Kaelyn still be so young. However...we do think she'd really enjoy a zoo maybe. There's one here in our state that is supposed to be really good...and best of all it's free!! Now we just need to decide when and if we're going to make a weekend of it or what.

Paintball

If you're someone interested in the sport of paintballing, you may have heard of ZephyrPaintball.com before?! I know that I have!! Here is where you'll find Paintball and Airsoft Gear at low prices. You'll also find free shipping on paintball guns, goggles, equipment and gear!! It's really a great site if you're looking for complete lines on these things and much more like hats, hoodies, jerseys, spring airsoft pistols, etc!! Find brands like Dye, Kingman, Tippmann, PMI, Nelson and more! If you'd like to learn more you can check out their site or call 877-814-4297 for more information! See what you think today!

Teething

Kaelyn has been sleeping great lately...but she tends to get sad every once in a while for no reason. This is exactly how she was acting the last time she got her teeth in. We're thinking she must bet working on getting the top ones in now....as they're swollen and she's overly grumpy. I feel so bad for her, as it's no fun to feel like there's really nothing you can do to take away the pain completely. Hopefully it will be a quick process and they'll pop through soon.

A Day at the Lake

Last weekend we really wanted to get to the lake...but it started raining. We had Kaelyn in her swimsuit for the first time and she was so excited!! She'll really enjoy this weekend, as she'll get to be out at the lake a lot on Friday! I'm looking forward to letting her get in her swimsuit and even put her feet in the water. She'll have so much fun. The family will be happy to see her too!! I can't wait!! What a fun time it will be.

Midwest Auto Recycling

Anyone who is into cars as much as I am has probably heard of midwest auto recycling, right?! I really like this company because they specialize in used engines and transmissions...definitely something that many of us have to replace at one point or another. They also offer a strong warranty nationweide. What's so great about them? Well, besides the fact that all the engines come completely assembled, they also are inspected, tested, and cleaned!!These are not things that you find just anywhere. So, if you're looking to learn more about Midwest Auto Recycling...head over to their site today! You won't be sorry you did.

So busy

This week is just flying by!! I can't believe it's already Wednesday night!! I think it's going by so quickly because all I've been doing is working non stop. I go to work, and then when I come home I go downstairs and continue working on mudding and sanding the walls that we've put up. It's a big job, but will be so worth the time put in when it's all done! I can't wait!! The carpet will be getting put in sometime this month so that will be really nice too. I don't mind working so much when it's for something for our home. It will be a great place to spend time as a family!

Weather

The weather has been just beautiful lately!! It seems like every time they say it's going to rain...it doesn't. Instead it's been sunny and warm for a few days in a row now. That's great for the area we live in! Hopefully the weather will stay the same throughout the weekend so everyone can enjoy being outdoors with loved ones over the holiday weekend!! I know that's what I'm hoping for anyways. It would be quite the bummer to be stuck inside all weekend. Thankfully it looks like it's going to be beautiful!

X8 Drums

I recently came across a hand drum specialty store called, X8 Drums. I was reading a web release of theirs that announced that they have a new line of Pro African X8 djembe drums. They have the best selection of handcrafted djembe drums and accessories anywhere! I liked reading that they are importing some great custom models for both beginners and professionals and all those in between. If you're someone who would enjoy a djembe drum...you should definitely look at X8 Drums. You'll find handmade and beautiful work here and a company with you in mind. Take a look at their site today to learn more and get more information. You won't be sorry you did.

This Weekend

This weekend is going to be a lot of fun! Tomorrow night is the parade in our town, then Friday we are spending the day at the lake. Saturday Jen has a family reunion on her side of the family that we're going to, which should be a lot of fun as well! Sunday will be wonderful as well....as Jen's brother and his family are coming up to visit for the afternoon. We haven't seen them since Christmas so it will be fun to see their little guy and how much he's grown. I can't wait to see him and Kaelyn play together.

8 months old

Our little girl turned 8 months old yesterday! Some may not think that sounds old...but to us as her parents, we can't believe she's already that old!! Where does the time go?? I can't believe it's already been 8 months since we brought her home from the hospital!! It's amazing how quickly they grow and change. She's already pulling herself and trying to cruise along furniture...soon I'm sure she'll be trying to walk without assistance. What a big girl!
