Capella University

Capella University is a fully accredited online university. They offer many different areas of study for those interested in furthering their education. I have read many interesting things lately about this school and their staff. One in particular, was a press release by Dr James L Greenstone who is a faculty member in the Harold Abel School of Psychology there. He authored The Elements of Disaster Psychology: Managing Psychosocial Trauma-An Integrated Approach to Force Protection and Acute Care. This book actually became available just this month and helps to aid those in day-to-day on scene disaster response. I thought it sounded very interesting and thought others might as well. If you'd like to learn more about this book or Capella University, check out their site today!

Time Off

I'm looking forward to having a couple of days off coming up here in the next couple of weeks. We're going down to see Jen's brother and visit her old place of work where she taught. I like my job, but sometimes it's nice just to take some time and spend it with family. It will go by quickly, but it's much needed before the busy season hits. Once that is here, we won't get any time off for quite a while!

Grandparents

Each Wednesday my mom tries to stop by before she goes to church to see us and Kaelyn. She even brings supper which is so nice of her! It's great getting the chance to see her every week when possible. Kaelyn likes it too. Jen and I are both so appreciative that we live near all of our parents....that makes it much easier...especially having Kaelyn now.

Silver

Anyone who has ever looked into investments probably has heard of the Monex Deposit Company. They have been around for over 30 years, and are known as America's gold and silver investment leader! That's pretty impressive, and actually what lead me to learn more about them and their fine company. They make it easy for you purchase the precious metals of your choice and then get them sent and stored for you with no hassle at all. Now is the time to think about purchasing silver, as the demand for it outweighs it's annual production. If you'd like to learn more about investing through them and silver price...head over to their site today! It's very user-friendly and full of information that will help you make your decision.

Tax Frustration

Jen and I are still waiting on hearing about our taxes. We're both getting really curious as to what is taking so long and how everything came out. She told us we'd be getting a return of some kind, but just couldn't tell us how much and all that until she had everything figured out. I'm hoping we hear soon...this seems like it's taking a lot longer than it normally does. Two weeks...we were thinking it would be more like 1 one week if that.

Quite Interesting

I recently received a forward that was pretty alarming. It was about those people who use lemons in their water when they go out to eat, and how it is probably not the best idea. There was someone who did some tests on different lemons in different restaurants...and 77 percent of the time there were all kinds of terrible bacteria on them. It's definitely opened my eyes, and will probably keep me from doing that again. It was really quite interesting.

Credit Cards

Credit cards can be a great thing to have, but they can also be scary if you don't use them correctly. It's also bad if you have a card that really isn't best for your given situation. That's why I like to tell people about CreditCardSearchEngine.com. They are the webs longest running site for online credit card comparison. They make it really easy for anyone to compare and apply for the cards that they want. Whether you're looking for Sports Credit Cards, credit cards with low interest, or maybe even one with reward incentives....this is the place to go. Take a look at their site today and learn more about how you can find the perfect card for you!

Wait and see

We started watching American Idol again this season, and it seems like it's going to be a good one. Now they have picked their top 24 already, and last night they let 4 go. Jen and I thought we knew who would be going home, and we were partly right, but were kind of surprised with two of the contestants who went home. I think this season could be full of surprises...what do you think!? It seems to me that the winner could really surprise us all. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Grandparents

Jen and I always wanted to live close to family. So, when I had the opportunity to work closer to home, we were definitely all for it! Now I am so glad we decided to do that, because we have Kaelyn now. It's always nice when kids can grow up around their grandparents. All of her grandparents live withing 45 minutes away and they usually all get to see her at least once a week. I'm so glad for that....family is one of the most important things to us...so it's nice Kaelyn gets to spend time with them all!

Beauty School

Are you interested in going to beauty school? If so, there's a school that was actually founded here in the midwest that you should check out. Regency beauty schools was created over 50 years ago. They have expanded from only having two schools in Minnesota, to having almost 30 different campuses across nine states here in the United States. What I've heard about them is that they have a unique approach when it comes to cosmetology education. Not only that, but their connections and relationships help to find students placements after they're done with school. If you'd like to learn more about this cosmetology school and if it's right for you, check out their site today.

Weather is Cooperating...for once!

I'm sure glad it's not snowing out today. We are heading back tonight to see Jen's family and grandparents, so I'm glad the weather is cooperating. I think we're going to stay for the whole weekend. It should be a nice time, relaxing and just hanging out. I think we'll probably even go to church with Jen's parents on Sunday too. That's where Jen and I grew up going, so it will be fun for everyone to meet our little girl! I'm looking forward to that.

Weekend

I can't tell you enough how happy I am that it's the weekend! I'm even happier because I'm going to be able to get off from work early today so that we can head back to see Jen's family for supper. I like my job, but it's always nice when the weekend rolls around. I love spending time with Jen and kaelyn. The busy season will be here before we know it, so I'm glad that we get to spend that time together now.

If you've never heard of the Karisma Hotels before, you really need to check them out. Their located on the white beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya and are known for their new gourmet-inclusive concept which is great for anyone who loves food. You get this inclusive vacation for one price which is so nice. Not only is the food great, but they also have outstanding service. You'll love their accommodations as well. Between the entertainment, beach beds, hot tubs and more....you'll be able to enjoy a vacation that's relaxing and enjoyable. Take a look at their site to learn more about what they have to offer and see if the Riviera Maya Resort is a place you'd be interested in visiting some time.

Almost Friday

Wow, this week sure has gone by quickly!! I can't believe that tomorrow will be Friday already! It's nice when the work weeks go by quickly, because that means that the weekends are here fast and I can spend time with my wife and daughter. That's my most favorite time of the entire week. They're so wonderful and I love every minute I get to spend with them. Only one more day and I'll be home with them for the entire weekend! :)

Tax Stuff

Jen and I went to do our taxes the other day and we're anxiously awaiting a phone call from her to let us know how everything turned out. We had a lot of changes this year. We moved, bought a house, got a new job, and had our daughter. We weren't really sure what to expect having gone through all of these changes when it came to taxes, so we'll have to see when she calls. Hopefully it will be soon!

Refinancing

Having just bought a house this past year, I know how much of a burden a mortgage can be. Jen and I made sure that we got a mortgage that fit into our budget, and it's still a big payment compared to our other bills. That's why sometimes it's nice to refinance with a company that can give a better deal. We haven't done this, but may look into it someday. If you're living in California and are looking into doing this, you should look into Dollarblvd.com for help! They give you 5 free quotes for your California Refinance. Take a look at their site today to learn more.

Living close...

I just love living closer to family now. Jen and I always knew that we wanted to live closer to family...and over the past year we did just that!! :) It's nice because each of our parents make it up our way, or we make it down their way almost every week. Especially now with Kaelyn, it's nice that she gets to see her Grandparents so often. I just wish all of the aunts and uncles lived closer, that would be nice too.

Car Insurance

My wife and I have done a lot of looking for the right Car Insurance. Over the New Year we bought a new vehicle. It's definitely something that is much better for us now that we have a daughter, but it costs a little bit more in car insurance as well. That's why we're looking for insurance that is a little bit cheaper and more affordable. There are so many companies out there claiming to have cheap car insurance available, like, progressive, but one company that I am particularly interested in is Cost-U-Less. I came across this company when I was researching some of the companies that I've considered, and was really impressed with all they had to offer. They have been around since 1980 and are known for the cheap car insurance that they offer. I think the thing that impressed me most was their website. They make it possible for you to learn more about them and all that they have to offer as well as offering useful tips and even quotes so you can better make your decision if they are right for you or not. If you are like me and want to find cheaper car insurance, this may be just the company that can suit your needs. Take a moment and head over to their site to learn more today! You won't be sorry you did!

No Fun

I don't know why, but I am not feeling the best today! I felt ok when I woke up this morning, but as the day has progressed it has not been a good one. I just feel sick to my stomach. I've had a lot going on lately and maybe that has to do with it...I don't know?! Thankfully I don't get sick very often, because it's not fun and makes being at work very hard. I think I may just take it easy tonight and try and rest some.

Capella University

This blog post is based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Having been out of college for a couple of years now, I've been getting the itch to get my masters degree. I haven't made a decision yet, but have been looking around. Since I do have a full-time job and a family to provide for, I definitely need something that will work with my schedule. In looking at different online schools, I came across capella university. This is a fully accredited online university that offers lots of graduate and undergraduate programs. They would work with my schedule to help me puruse a degree in information technology, business, education or in many other areas. If you're interested in furthering your education and want to find something like Capella...you should definitely check out their site today!

Kaelyn

Kaelyn has been doing SOOO well lately. She's been sleeping through the night since she was 2 weeks old...but now she's doing even more than that! She's sleeping about 10 hours each night. She goes down just after 10:00PM and doesn't wake up until 8 or 8:30!! We're really happy about this, because that way just awake more during the day. It's fun to have her going through all of these stages, as she's having a lot more fun playing and spending time with mommy and daddy!:)

Super Bowl

Sunday was the Super Bowl. I wasn't really into it like I am some years, but jen and I still decided to watch it just for fun. I was actually cheering for the Giants, because I knew that the Patriots were undefeated. It was a really good game, and at the very end the Giants had pulled it off. It was really nice that the "underdogs" so to speak made it happen!! What a good game.

Hernia Patches

I have been hearing a lot about the recall on the Hernia Mesh Patches lately. I guess it's been said that a Federal Judge in Rhode Island decided that both the patch that has the memory recoil ring in it and the ones that don't both need to be recalled. That was a good thing to hear for Mark and Associates, P.C., as they are getting lots of people coming to them for help when it comes to this matter. Many complaints were being made that there were defects with the patches that could lead and did lead to some serious conditions, such as infection and bowel obstruction just name a couple. If you have been effected by this product, definitely check out their site today. Mark and Associates are willing to give you a free consultation so that you can get the help you deserve. Learn more about the Kugel hernia mesh recall on their site today.

Busy, Busy

I suppose I better go and get some work done. I am not sure if I'll be back on to post some more or not, because I definitely have a lot to do today. Tonight might be kind of busy as well...because on Fridays I usually help Jen do some cleaning around the house. Normally I do the laundry, the dishes, and the bathroom. She does the floors, dusting, and picking up things. It goes pretty quickly when both of us do it.

Teething

Kaelyn is only three months old, but she's showing some signs of teething already. We can see the white of her teeth under her lower gums. She's beginning to drool and chew on everything in site. Last night we got out one of her teethers and she really seemed to enjoy chewing on this and having it in her mouth. We're going to have to let her do that more often because she really liked it a lot. I don't know when those little teeth are going to come through, but it can be fun or comfortable having those teeth moving around like they are.

Denver

If you're interested in keeping up to date on all the happenings in Denver Colorado, as well as learning more about this fine city...you definitely need to check out the Denver Magazine. This magazine has it all! You'll find monthly features focusing on the important things surround this city. As well as information on businesses, politics, culture, housing, parks, museums and oh so much more! You can even find some of your favorite places to dine...something very important to most people when taking a trip to a city like this! I'm really happy I found something like this and I wanted to share it with all of you. If you want to check out all the latest things happening in Denver, check out this magazine today!

Nice Weather

The weather sure is nice out there today!! It's 21 degrees...which is about 20 degrees warmer than it was yesterday! I hope that the temps continue to rise, as this is the type of weather that makes it more enjoyable to work outdoors. I'm really looking forward to Spring, as that's when it really begins to warm up here in the midwest. It's pretty sad when 21 degrees feels like summer weather...haha!

Bumbo Seat

Recently we bought one of those Bumbo seats for Kaelyn. We kept the receipt because we weren't sure we would like it or not. Kaelyn likes to be up and looking around, so that is why we got one to see how she liked it. It turns out that she really does like it a lot. She'll sit in it and play with toys and just look around. It really seems to be helping her build up her neck muscles as well. I'm really glad we purchased it. I know some people aren't fond of them, but it worked out well for us.

Phone Systems

If you know anything about the traditional call center phone systems, you know that they are extremely spendy, as well as taking a lot of time to set up and get running. For businesses that aren't big on these downfalls to phone systems, you may like knowing that Xpander Communications has a new way sort of Call Center VoIP Phone Systems. They have a very low upfront cost and can have the system installed and running within 7 business days. This is something my business would definitely be happy to hear, and I'm sure many others out there would be as well. If you'd like to learn more about this great company, take a look at their site today and all they can offer you and your business when it comes to Call Center VoIP Phone Systems.

Tax Time

This weekend is going to be pretty busy. Jen and I have to get all of our things together to go see our Tax person this next week. It's a little overwhelming having just had a baby and buying a house in the past year....lots and lots of things that we need to gather. Oh well..I guess taxes are part of life. We'll get it all done...I just think it will be a big job for us. This year Jen said that she's gonna try and be more organized, and I'm going to do the same. We didn't really know what we would all need, but now that we do we'll be better prepared next year.

Routines

Now that Kaelyn is three months old, she has pretty much set a routine for herself. Everyone kept telling us that this would soon happen...and boy did it! She pretty much goes to sleep at the same time every night..sleeps nine hours...then Jen says she takes a half our nap in the morning, a 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon and then about an hour nap in the evening. She is the one that set this little routine and it's working out great for us! It's nice to have a baby that sleeps well through the night and during the day some.

Family Vacation

Now that we have a baby, I've been thinking about family vacations a lot lately. One place I would love to take my family someday is Orlando, Florida. This is a great place to take children because they offer so much for the whole family. When we do plan a vacation here, we're going to use Orlandofuntickets.com. This a great source for you to find discount tickets to the theme parks there, Disney World, dinner shows, attractions, etc! When you're planning a vacation, the last thing you want to worry about is how you are going to afford all of the tickets everywhere. That's why I like this site, because that takes that stress off of my shoulders. For the lowest prices on Discount Disney World Tickets, check out this site today! You won't be sorry you did. I know I wasn't!

Home Project

When Jen and I bought this house there was one thing that we really wanted to get done when we had the time. One of our bedrooms on the main floor is really big. It could actually be split into two different rooms. We're planning on putting a wall up very soon so that we can utilize the space that we have better. Right now you walk through a bedroom to get to a bedroom...but soon you will just walk through an office to get to the bedroom. It will be much more practical...I'm looking forward to getting it done!

Wireless Printing

Jen's dad e-mailed me yesterday and told me that he got their printer to print from their wireless laptop. I would really like to figure out how he got that working, because that's something Jen and I could definitely use from time to time. I may have to call him and find out how he did this. It's pretty cool when you think about it...that a wireless computer can print on the computer that is hooked up to your desktop!! I'm looking forward how to do this with our computer.

Las Vegas Trip

If you're ever looking for a fun vacation to take, you should look into Las Vegas. I've researched Vegas a lot because it's definitely somewhere that I'd like to take a trip at some point and I've found that they have a lot to offer. When researching, I came across the Best of Vegas site, which basically gives you the information and prices you're looking for when it comes to all of the Best of Vegas. Whether you're looking for Las Vegas Hotels, shows, clubs, tours, or something else...this is the place to start. They have everything you need to find the best deals when it comes to planning your trip to Vegas. Check them out for yourself to day and see what I'm talking about! You won't be disappointed!

Big Girl!!

When Kaelyn was first born she didn't enjoy her pacifier much. She couldn't keep it in her mouth so she got frustrated. She can't find her thumb too well yet, but now she can at least keep a pacifier in her mouth. Jen and I would actually prefer that she use a pacifier, so we're glad that she's starting to get the hang of it. She can even almost grab it and put it in her mouth all by her self! What a big girl!!

What a Blessing

Kaelyn is three months old today!! She was born on November 1st, and even though that sounds like a while ago...the time has seriously flown by right before my eyes!! I can see why people tell you to cherish every moment and stage when you have a baby because they really do grow so quickly! We can't believe that she is already beginning to roll over, coo, smile, grab for things and so much more!! We're just loving every stage she goes through...what a blessing she is to our lives!

Tickets

I have only ever gotten to go to a few big sporting events in my life, but would love to go to many more at some point. Whether it be the NFL or NBA....either one would be fine with me. In fact, I would really like to find some reasonably priced Miami Heat Tickets sometime. Although I haven't had any luck yet, I'm not giving up because I've just been told that Premium Seats USA makes it easy to find first-class tickets. They have all kinds of tickets, making it easier to get your hands on them than some other places I've tried! I'm definitely going to look into this and see if this is the right choice for me. If you are looking for concert tickets, sports tickets or something else...give this site a shot.

Toys, Toys...everywhere

Before we had a baby we had so many empty space in our living room and family room. Now, almost every empty space is filled with a toy of some sort. We have a swing, play mat, jumper and bouncy seat in our family room. It takes up quite a bit of space but we don't mind one bit. It's so much fun to see Kaelyn using and playing in all of these! As she gets older she does each thing more and more which is great to watch!!

Sunday!

This weekend is the Super Bowl. I'm not as into it as I have been in the past, but I do still plan on watching it. I asked Jen last night if she would watch it with me and she said she would. I was kind of surprised that she agreed to this since she doesn't really like football, but I'm glad she did!! Now we will be able to spend the day together and eat chips and snacks. It will be a good time!
