Getting Stronger Each Day

Kaelyn is getting so strong. She can hold her head up so well when she's on her tummy. She can also push off with her feet if she has them against something!! This morning I woke up to find that she actually wiggled out of all of her blankets and even moved to the top of her bassinet. She has much more power in her legs and finds a way to move them and kick off all of her blankets. She's changing so fast!!

Ford Escape

Jen and I are pretty excited because we're planning on selling our car and possibly getting a newer one that doesn't have so many miles. We're looking at an SUV which would be great for us now that we have a baby especially. We're not in any hurry...so we're just waiting on God's timing. I'm just glad that it's going to work out to get it when the timing is right! The Lord is good.:)

Basement Projects

Jen and I are pretty excited because we're getting some things done in our basement. When we moved in our house it was almost completely unfinished. We're slowly working on things here and there...and so far we've gotten some furniture moved in and lots of painting done! The next thing to do is buy some carpet and get a shower. We were looking into carpet and it's actually going to be much cheaper than what we had thought. We don't be doing it real soon...but I'm excited that it will be happening sooner than later! It will look so nice down there!

Grocery Time

Jen and I really need to get groceries today. We've been putting it off because we weren't around for a few days due to the holidays, but now that we're back at home...we've been noticing how bare our cupboards and fridge really are. I think we're going to work on the grocery list in a while and try and head to walmart before it gets dark out. I may just go and get them so we don't have to take Kaelyn out in this cold weather.

Snowy Day

I didn't know it was supposed to be so cold today. I didn't even know it was supposed to snow...but we walked out of church today and saw it falling. It's not a really heavy snow or anything, but just enough to cover the roads a bit. I don't think I should have to shovel anytime too soon...but I'm not sure I want to be driving out and about in this weather. We'll have to see...but I'm thinking hanging out at home would be best.

Sleeping Beauty

One of my favorite things to do when I get the chance is just sit and watch our little girl as she sleeps. She's so adorable! She makes all these little facial expressions...smiling, frowning, etc. She's just so animated when she's sleeping. She even mores her arms and legs around a lot while she sleeps. My wife and I will wake up in the morning and she will have kicked off most of her blankets. She's quite the active sleeper and so fun to watch.

I mean it was fun...but there is just so many details and things that go into a wedding...it gets to being a little overwhelming at times. Jen did such a good job and her mom helped lots too. Family

Last night it was sure nice...Jen's brother and his girlfriend came up with Zoe to see Kaelyn. Jake is such a good uncle and really enjoys spending time with his new little niece. She was in a pretty good mood while they were here....playing and smiling. I'm glad that she has such a loving family that surrounds her. She's a very lucky and blessed little girl with a family who loves her very much!!

What a nice break!

This week sure has been nice. I normally don't get much time off from work...but this past week I took the whole week off. I got to spend time with Jen and Kaelyn as well as our families which was so nice! I got plenty of time to relax as well which was much needed after the long busy season that we had. I really enjoy spending time Jen and Kaelyn and am planning on taking off more time this winter.

Jen's parents bought Kaelyn the cutest little dress. We are going to have her wear it church on Sunday, so we thought we'd have her try it on just to make sure it fits. WE put it on her and she looked absolutely adorable. Since she's only two months old, she has never worn a dress yet. We were just oooing and awwing over her. What a cutie with her little tights and and shoes on. I can't wait to have her wear it to church. She may even wear it to one of the Christmas's we go to.

Almost Time

YYYEEAAHHH! I cannot explain how happy I am that today is my last day of work before a long break that I took off for the holidays. It's been way too long since I was able to take some time off from work...and now I get over a week to spend time with my family! I can't wait! It's going to be so wonderful. I think everyone needs a little vacation time and a break to refresh and relax. Only about 7 hours and counting!!

Time Off

Do you ever wonder where the time goes? I wake up pretty early and before I know it it's already half way through the day. I can't believe how quickly the day goes by. I guess that's what happens when you're constantly busy doing something though. Oh well. I guess that's how it goes. Hopefully time won't go quite as quickly when I have some time off from work. I'd like it to go slowly so I can enjoy it a bit.

Truly Blessed

I am getting so excited to have a new vehicle. It sounds like we may have a buyer for our car which is wonderful! God is good. He always seems to work everything out. Sometimes it's difficult not to get impatient with things, but I know that God works in His time, and His plan is the best for us. I am just happy that He's going to make it possible for us to get a new vehicle in the near future!! We are truly blessed.

Work to do

Tonight is going to be very busy! Jen and I have a lot of cleaning to get done, and we also are going to paint our basement bathroom. The reason why we have to get it all done tonight is because tomorrow Jen's family is coming up and we want to be able to spend as much time with them as possible. Then after that almost every day we have a family Christmas to go to. It's ok...we'll just have to get right to work tonight and make sure that everything gets done. Jen is going to try and do some of it today while I'm at work, but I told her I'd help her out as much as I can tonight.

It will be great!

I'm SO looking forward to having some time off from work. Working for months and months without any time off has been pretty overwhelming. I know the holidays will be a busy time, but I'll be happy just to be off from work and able to spend some time with my family. Jen and I may even go shopping one day or something. Who knows. All I know is I'll be happy as long as I'm able to spend some time with Kaelyn and her! It will be great!

Wow...I can't believe it's already another work week. Where do the weekends go?? I do feel like we got a lot accomplished this weekend though...which is really a good feeling. Very Busy

Today has already been a long day for me...and it's not even noon yet! I started out my day at 7 this morning, heading to my dad's to help him hang some drywall in the bathroom he's remodeling at his house. Then, I hurried back home to take a shower and get ready to go ring bells for the Salvation Army for two hours. Now I'm home and getting ready to start painting our basement. Feeling Better

I was having such bad back pain the past couple of days that I finally decided to go to the chiropractor yesterday afternoon. I definitely feel so much better!! Jen does all of our banking online. I mean, she keeps track of things in the register too...but online is where she does all of the money transfers and things. I guess one of the bank accounts online thing isn't working right now and it's really frustrating for her. She has work that she needs to do on there and it's hard when it's out of order at the moment. Hopefully they get it up and running soon!

Busy Shopping

Jen and I always like to go and get groceries together after I get off from work. Last night we decided to go and it was SOO busy at Walmart! I think many people are doing last minute Christmas shopping this time of year or something because there were so many people out and about. I mean some of them were getting groceries...but others were buying toys and other things that I'm sure were for Christmas gifts. I think we'll try and go when it's less busy next time.

Jen's Present

I really enjoy buying my wife jewelry. It's something that she enjoys and I love to make her happy. This year I wanted to buy her an anniversary ring. I went looking at them and actually decided to buy her a set. I bought the anniversary ring along with a diamond band. It's beautiful!! I gave it to her already because I knew she'd want to start wearing it and she just loves it!! I'm so glad!

So Cute!

Our little girl just loves music. When Jen was pregnant with kaelyn she always said how much she enjoyed music because she'd always move around when we were around it. Now that she's here with us it's obvious how much she likes music. She'll move her arms and legs around and get a big smile on her face. I just love that she likes music. I can't wait until she's at that toddler age where she starts dancing.:) That will be so cute!

Painting

I'm thinking that this week I'm going to go buy some paint and start painting our basement. We know that we probably won't be able to completely finish it for quite some time...but paint is definitely a good place to start. After that the biggest thing we will need to do down there is put down carpet and get some furniture. Once we are able to do that it will definitely make for a nice little family room and play room for our children. We have many other projects in our home that we want to do over the years...but paining the basement is a big job that needs to be done soon!

Can you believe it's almost time for Christmas already?!? It seems like just yesterday that we were awaiting our little girl's birth and now over a month later Christmas is almost here. I'm really glad that winter is here...because that means I'm having more and more time off and able to spend some quality time with Jenna and Kaelyn. It was kind of a bummer to have the busy season land right when Kaelyn was born...but now I'm glad it's over with and am able to spend more time with my family!! Our little girl is so good!! I mean, she's our first baby so we don't really have anything to compare to, but we feel like she is just the best baby. We can take her out places and not worry that she's going to get upset and cry. She also sleeps through the night and has since two weeks which is just wonderful! What new parent wouldn't like 6 or 7 hours of straight sleep?!? We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful and healthy daughter!

Christmas Present

Every year I like to buy my wife something for Christmas that she'll really enjoy. It's always fun to surprise her with a gift. Nice Day

I really enjoyed not having to work this weekend. It's been too long since I had a full weekend to spend with my family. Jen, Kaelyn and I just enjoyed a relaxing day at home. We got some cleaning done...but pretty much just got to enjoy each other's company which I loved! Today Kaelyn is a month old and she rolled over which was pretty exciting. So sad

I'm sure I've said it before...but what is up with the news these days. I feel like I can't watch it without hearing some sort of tragic news that's gone on in our country or world. Whether it's war, death, sickness, or something else...it seems to be something that I hear about a lot. I think it's so sad all that goes on. For instance, yesterday I was watching the news, and to my surprise Sean Taylor...player for the Washington Redskins had died. Just the day before I had watched the news and heard he was shot in the leg because someone had broken into his home...but never thought that he would die from it. It's just so sad!

Family of Three

My wife and I recently had our first baby. We had a girl and her name is Kaelyn!! We absolutely love being a family of three and really have enjoyed being parents so far! Christmas this year is going to be a little different. My wife and I recently had our very first baby and are so excited to share the holiday with her this year!! This weekend

I'm really excited because I already found out that I have this weekend off from work!! It's so nice to have days off because I get to spend time with Jen and Kaelyn. So Cold

I don't know about you, but I really don't like the cold weather that we've been having lately. Here in the northern part of the US, we have been having bitter cold weather. Wow...Dr Phil has some really great stories on TV these days. Recently there was a show about a young woman who met a man living oversees on Myspace. I can't believe how quickly time flies. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our little girl home from the hospital, and now she is already almost 4 weeks old!! Where does the time go?!! Fun Time

Last night we sure had a nice time. My mom ordered in Applebee's for us, and we got to spend time with her and my sister who lives in Virginia. Tami had such a nice time getting to meet Kaelyn. Sometimes she gets a little fussy when there's so many people around...but she calms down very quickly! She's such a good baby.

Fun in Texas

It sounds like Jen's parents are having a great time down in Texas visiting her twin brother, his wife and their new son. Bill and Vicky are so happy to have two new grandchildren. They got to spend some time here with Kaelyn which was nice, and now they get to spend some time with Emry as well. It sure will make the holidays fun this year having two babies around!

Supper

Last night my dad and stepmom stopped by and brought us supper. They had made a pot roast and green beans and it was absolutely wonderful!! They've been brining us suppers every now and then ever since Kaelyn was born. It's sure nice because Jen and I are so busy and having supper made for us sometimes is really helpful!! It's great having family that lives so close!

My Sister

Tonight we get to go out to eat with my mom and my sister. My sister lives in Virginia, so I'm really excited to get to spend some quality time with her. It's also nice that she was able to come back home, because she gets the chance to meet Kaelyn now. It's hard with her living so far away...so it's nice that she was able to make it back so Kaelyn and she could meet!

Great Baby

Seeing how Kaelyn is our first child...I am not sure how most babies are. From what I can tell about Kaelyn so far though...she is a GREAT baby!! She is so calm and happy much of the day!! This makes it easier for Jen to get some things done around the house and online that she needs to. At night she fusses some...but still allows us to get about 8 hours of sleep total...which is wonderful!! I couldn't ask for a sweeter and more perfect little girl! She's such a blessing.

Winter Weather

It's been pretty cold working lately. I really enjoyed work during the summer because it was warm outside. Now, with the weather turning colder and colder, it's less and less fun for me to spend time outside without freezing!! Pretty soon I'm going to have to start wearing my overalls again to help keep me warm. Hopefully the weather doesn't get too cold very soon though...I just don't like the winter weather that we have to deal with here in the midwest.

Thankful for cell phones

Where would we be without cell phones?!? I just can't imagine not having my cell phone after having one all this time. I hardly remember what it was like to not have it. It's something that I feel is necessary for people who travel or on the road a lot like myself. My wife always knows she can get a hold of me which is a good feeling for both her and I. I am so thankful for cell phones!

New Garage Floor

This summer when my wife and I were looking to buy our first home...she would always give me a hard time because one of the first things I'd want to look at was the garage. Well, we're now in the house htat we bought, and the garage is pretty nice. It's insulated with a heater in it. The only thing that's not so great about it is the floor. It's pretty cracked and beat up. At some point I'm going to have to look into new garage flooring and getting some tiles to cover it so it looks much nicer. It will give it a whole new look which would be wonderful!!

Strong Winds

As I sit here I can hear the wind blowing!! THe leaves are going all over the place and the wind sounds like it is very brisk. I'm glad I don't have to spend too much time outside today...as I think I would be very cold. It's nice to have a job where I get to work indoors some when the weather is like this!!! I don't know what I would if I had to be outside all the time in the bitter cold.

Is it winter yet??

It's looking like our busy season is going to come to an end very soon. Once the ground freezes it's going to be very difficult to get much else done. It's looking like that could happen here within the next week or so...as snow is definitely in the forecast. Normally I wouldn't look forward to snow...but now with our new daughter here with us...all I want to do is spend more time at home. :)

Dentemp OS

I have lost a filling a number of times, but one instance really stands out in my mind the most. When I was dating my wife in college, I wanted to take her on a romantic date to her favorite restaurant for our anniversary. I was really trying to be thoughtful and knew she'd have a great time. The night started out great...but I guess I made the wrong decision when it came to what I ordered to eat that night, because it was too sticky and caused me to lose a filling. I was so embarassed, as I know the facial expressions of pain that I was making couldn't have been very flattering to say the least. Although the pain didn't go on and on...it definitely made it difficult to finish eating and to concentrate on our romantic date. I wish that I would have known about Dentemp OS at the time. Family

Before my daughter was born...I obviously realized how important family was. However, once she came into our lives my whole perspective on family and time spent with them has changed! I always have enjoyed spending time with my wife, but now more than ever I want to spend time with her and our daughter. It's really made me realize how important my family is to me and how I want to take as much time as possible to spend with them. This winter I'm definitely going to be taking some time off from work so I get that time.

So Busy

With the busyness of work and then Kaelyn coming home...we haven't had the chance to make it to church for a couple weeks. Wonderful Wife

I have to give my wife a lot of credit. She is now home with our baby...which keeps her very busy. However, even though she's busy with Kaelyn...she still manages to keep our house looking nice and do some work online too. She's an amazing person and I feel so blessed to have her!! Now I have two very special girls in my life whom I love with all my heart!! I never thought I could love Jen more than the day I married her, but my love for her grows each and every day!!

My wife and I like taking pictures, but i don't think we've ever taken as many as we did this past week. We just want to capture every little thing that Kaelyn does!! Jen has the camera by her all day, so she can share with me what new things Kaelyn is doing while I'm at work. The other day she took a picture of her sucking her thumb for the first time. It was SOOO cute! She hasn't found her thumb since then, but I'm sure with time she will find it again.:)

Changing by the day...

It seems like each day Kaelyn is doing more and more. When we brought her home she was only a few days old. Now, almost 2 weeks old, she is amazing us each and every day. She's now holding her head up and even trying to move it from one side to the other when she's on her belly. She's also trying very hard to find that thumb of hers. We were hoping she'd want a pacifier, but it looks like once she finds that thumb it will override the pacifier we've been trying to use with her.:) She's also focusing a lot more with her eyes and seems to be more aware of her environment. It's so neat to see all of these changes!!

Time Off

Ever since Kaelyn was born...it seems that work has gotten more and more busy. I'm really looking forward to it slowing down a bit so that I can spend more time with her and Jen. I make sure that I call them several times a day to check in...but it's not the same as being there. Hopefully I will be able to spend more time with them very soon. Once the ground freezes I think it will be much easier to take some time off from work.

Being a Dad

I'm just loving being a dad!! I wasn't sure what it would be like...but it is AMAZING!! I could jus stare at our little girl for hours. She's so sweet and beautiful! Alzheimer's Foundation

I never knew much about the Alzheimer's disease or how seriously it can affect the people who have it and their families until my wife learned of her Grandma having it years ago. It's a really sad disease, and one that you hear more and more about with each passing year. I know for my wife and our family it's difficult to see her Grandmother like this. She was such a sharp woman...and now she doesn't even know who we are. The most sad part of it all is that at the time there is no cure. I would love it if we could find a cure for this disease and would like to make people more aware of it. First Outing

Well, Kaelyn had her first outing with mom, dad, Grammy and Grampa tonight. It was so fun. She is such a good girl. We went to the Mall for a stroll. It just so happened that we ran into four gals from our families home church. They were so excited to see us. Then after that we had to stop in at the local Dairy Queen for ice cream cones. Yum Yum....

I'm not sure if it's due to poor budgeting, cost of living, or a mix of the two...but having bad credit does not make it very easy to get back on your feet. Picking a name...

Jen is being induced tomorrow morning and we still don't have a name picked out if it's a girl. We have a couple in mind...but we like both names and just don't know which to choose. I think this would be the perfect time of year to take Jen on a vacation. She absolutely love Orlando and keeps telling me that I would love it too. I may have to secretly plan a trip for her. How Awesome...

Well, the time is nearing and I can't wait to be a dad!! Only 2 days left until our Jen gets induced and I can't wait!! I know Jen is really excited as well. She doesn't complain about it much...but I can tell the headaches and lack of sleep are really wearing on her. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when our little one is ready to come. We're just excited and still can't believe what a miracle it is to have a child!!

Can't wait to be a dad!

Well...we for sure have less than 48 until we go to the hospital to have our baby!! Who knows...he/she could come sooner, but even if they don't...we know that we will have our baby by the weekend for sure!! We just can't believe that the time is already here! It's crazy to think how quickly 9 months has gone by. I mean, Jen might tell you it's gone by a little slower since she's the one carrying the baby...but still...to think that soon we'll have our little baby is just so amazing! I can't wait to be a dad.

Still No News

Still no news on the baby. We are so hoping that the baby comes soon, preferably before Jen would even have to get induced on Thursday!! She's been getting more frequent contractions throughout the day, but they are not consistent in timing. She's keeping an eye on them though...just in case they suddenly change to a more predictable pattern. We're just trying to stay patient and wait.

Going to Church

When Jen and I moved here last winter, the first thing we wanted to do was find a church. This was something very important to us, and it was very important that we found one. We were fortunate enough to find a non-denominational church that is Bible-based and really teaches the Word. Not only that, but the worship here is amazing!! We just love it!! When the baby comes we know that we won't get to go for a couple of weeks probably, but that's ok...we'll be back soon enough.

Baby News

Jen and I are really anxious to meet our little one. He/she was due yesterday, but we had a feeling that she may go past her due date since this is our first baby. We are trying to wait patiently...but boy is it hard when you're so excited about something like the birth of your baby!! We're at least comforted in knowing that she will be induced Thursday if the baby does not arrive by then. We are so excited to know that this weekend we will have our little one at home with us!! It's been a long time coming...and we are so excited that the time is finally here.

Having to work weekends...

Although I like the fact that work has been keeping me busy, I'm bummed that I may have to work this weekend. Especially bummed that I may have to work Sunday. I always enjoy going to church and I know Jen likes it when I'm able to go with her too. It's too bad, but sometimes in the busy season I'm unable to go. We've actually been really lucky because most weekend I've been able to go. I guess one time isn't a big deal...I just miss not going when I'm not able to.

Jen and I were talking and we're planning on getting groceries a bit early this week. Normally we'd go out and get groceries on Friday or something, but with the baby for coming by Thursday, we feel that we should be a little more organized. That way we'll have plenty of food here after we get home from the hospital. Maybe we'll go on Tuesday or something?!? We'll have to see.

More Leaves

Every weekend for the past month or so, I've been getting a mower of my uncles that has a vacuum on it to pick up the leaves in our yard. It seems that each week our yard just fills up with the leaves that continue to fall. I don't really mind it...it just takes up much of my day. I have to first rake up some leaves and put them in the truck. Then I have to take the mower and vacuum up the remaining leaves. While all this is going on I have to take load after load to the landfill. It's a lot of work.

Waking up early

When I first started my job last Spring, I remember waking up early was really difficult for me to do. I was used to sleeping in and not having to get up early. Now that I've worked there a while and gotten used to the early hours, I don't mind getting up early at all. In fact, I often wake up before my alarm. The only bummer about it is that I can't seem to sleep in on the weekends when I actually can sleep in. I'm so used to waking up early that I just wake up early on the weekends too. Oh well...

Basketball Season

As I've said in the past, I am a big Sports nut. I really enjoy all kinds of sports, but my favorites are probably football and basketball. The NBA season is actually just about to start which is really exciting. I can't wait!! I know I won't be watching it too much, as I'm going to want to spend time with Jen and our baby...but it will still be nice to watch every once in a while.

Nice Dry Weather

It's been really nice weather to work in the fields lately. It's been dry, so it's been easy for us to spread the fertilizer that we need to. I like it because it means that we're getting some work done finally. It was so rainy there for a while that it was tough to get anything done. Everything we get done now will mean that much less to do in the Spring. That's fine with me:)

Work Shirts

My work has never had shirts that actually have their logo on them. The guys kind of put me in charge of figuring out how we could go about getting some. I recently came up with a great idea and I think we're going to be purchasing some for the workers there. I'm looking forward to it and can't wait to have some Hi Yield gear. It'll be nice to wear the name of the company and not just my own shirts.

Regency

I recently learned of Regency beauty schools, the fastest growing beauty school in the country. I really have always enjoyed purchasing things on ebay in the past. Some guys at work figured this out and now they always are asking me to purchase things for them. They always pay me back, but it gets to being a lot of work when everyone continues to ask me to bid on things for them. I don't really mind though. It's actually kind of fun. I love searching for the best deal and bidding on auctions.

Soon to be parents!!

Wow...not much longer now!! Jen had her appointment yesterday and they told her if she doesn't have the baby by Thursday that she'll be induced. We're pretty excited because that means we're for sure going to get to meet our little on in less than a week!! It's SOOO exciting. I can't wait to be a dad. I know that we're both going to just love being parents.

Jen's so tired!

I sure am feeling bad for Jen these days. I think it's just the weight of the baby on her ribs, but she just has not been sleeping well at all. Last night she slept from 12-4 and then couldn't sleep the rest of the night. She got up at 7 with me and started her day. She's so tired, and just can't seem to get comfortable to sleep. I can't until she is able to at least sleep a little bit more, because I hate seeing her so tired.

Work on the deck...

The past couple of times that Zoe's been at our house, she has been crawling under our deck when she's outside. She is too big to be crawling under there and she gets stuck a lot. Before she comes up to stay with Bill and Vicky after the baby is born, I'm going to buy some board to put up on the deck so that she can't crawl under there anymore. It will be nice to have to keep out the rabbits and kittens too.

The World Series is always a fun thing to watch this time of year. I really enjoy all kinds of sports...so watching baseball is just another one of my many hobbies. It would be a dream of mine to actually get to see the World Series in person one year, rather than on the TV. Window Tint

With a baby on the way...I've been really wanting to get our back windows tinted so that the sun is not shining on our baby's face. I'm really excited, because I finally talked my wife into letting me order some to put on our car. I don't know if I'll get it put on before the baby comes, but I definitely am planning on getting it done soon. I think it will be really nice to have on there. Jen doesn't know if she'll like it...but I'm sure she'll love it after it's all said and done.

Bumbo Chair Recall

Jen and I have been doing some last minute shopping for our little one lately. I pointed out the Bumbo chair that you see all over these days. She informed me though that these are actually being recalled because children are falling out of them and actually fracturing their skulls. Over 1 million have been recalled I believe and all are being pulled off the shelves. I'm glad that we didn't end up getting one...as we don't want something dangerous like that for our child.

World Series

I've really enjoyed watching the world series these past couple of nights. Tonight the Red Sox are playing the Colorado Rockies in games two of the MLB World Series. Last night's game wasn't even close...Boston winning it 11-2. I can honestly say that I expect the Red Sox to sweep the Rockies tonight in this best of 7 series. I never really get into baseball much, but I have to say that the World Series is another story...I really like it.

Great Football Game

What an amazing football game I just watched. Number two Boston college was down 10-0 to Virginia Tech with under 5 minutes to go in the game. The coolest thing about this game was that they still ended up winning the game with a touchdown off of a recovered onside kick. It will go down as one of the best comebacks in college football...that's for sure!!

The time is coming...

Well, I'm pretty happy that our baby will soon be here with us. I know Jenna's really excited about that too. Her doctor's appointment went great today....they said that they thought she could probably have the baby within the next week. If she doesn't though, they are going to induce her on Thursday morning. Her doctor doesn't really want her going beyond 41 weeks because of her size...so we're both really excited that we get to meet our little one very soon.

Good Work Days

It's been really nice weather outside lately...so thankfully I've been able to get a lot done at work. It's been really good timing actually, as the due date of our baby is nearing and I need to get as much done as possible!! I've been working pretty good hours, not getting home too late...but still getting lots done at work as well. I'm happy and hope tomorrow goes just as well!

God's Creation!

Many times I find myself gazing out the window in awe of how beautiful God's creation is!! Not that I don't do this many times throughout the year, but the Fall time is really when I find myself enjoying nature and all that He has created!! It's so beautiful watching the animals and all the trees turning colors!! I just love it!!

Our Church

When Jen and I moved here last winter, the first thing we wanted to do was find a church. This was something very important to us, and it was very important that we found one. We were fortunate enough to find a non-denominational church that is Bible-based and really teaches the Word. Not only that, but the worship here is amazing!! We just love it!!

My wife and I really enjoy listening to Christian music. Whether it's CD's or the radio...it seems that we have it on all the time!! One of my wife's favorite groups is Avalon. New Devotional

My wife and I were recently talking about getting a new devotional to get us even deeper in the Word. We discussed many, but decided upon one by Kenneth Copeland. Pursuit of His Presence is the name of the devotional...and so far we both just LOVE it!! What a great way to grow deeper in Him and the Word!! Kenneth and his Wife co-authored this devotional and did a fantastic job! Each day there is a message, accompanied by a verse and several readings to study further. It's been a wonderful thing for both of us and we just love being able to do that together! What a miracle...

Well, the time is nearing and I can't wait to be a dad!! Only 4 days left until our baby's due date and I can't wait!! I know Jen is really excited as well. I'm hoping that our baby comes on time, as the pregnancy is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for Jenna. She doesn't complain about it much...but I can tell the headaches and lack of sleep are really wearing on her. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when our little one is ready to come. We're just excited and still can't believe what a miracle it is to have a child!!

Missin' Zoe

I came home from work yesterday to no dog waiting for me. Over the past week that is what I was use to. Zoe would always be sitting at the front door just waiting for me to get home from work. And she would be standing at the garage door as I walked in. Now I have to wait until our baby is born to see her again. I miss her.

New Brakes

My wife and I started noticing that our car was making a really weird noise as we would go down the road, and would get worse when we would brake. I thought at first that there could be a problem with the suspension, but as I started to listen, I could tell it was the brakes. I purchase the shoes and drums for the car through work and saved $50 which was awesome, and when I took the shoes off it was very obvious that is what it was.

Boy or Girl?

With the countdown to when our baby is going to be born, Jenna and I have found ourselves trying to decide what name to choose for a girl. I like Kaylee, and Jenna likes Kaelyn. I really don't mind either because they both are original but I like the way Kaylee sounds. I'm glad we didn't have this much trouble with the name Kaden if it's a boy.

Leaves, Leaves, and more Leaves

Saturday I had to clean up all the leaves in our yard. I have never seen so many leaves fall from one tree. It took me 3 full pickup loads to clean them all up, I even took the lawn mower and vacuumed up what was left. But waking up today I found myself waking up to more leaves on the ground from that same tree. What a frustration.

Finally a day off

I worked for 30 days straight without a full day off and was I dragging. So with all the rain that we have gotten it has been nice to actually get my weekends off and be able to spend time with my wonderful wife. Brrrrr...It's Cold!

I don't understand this Minnesota weather, just last week the temperatures were up in the 70's and this week they have been in the 50's. It's crazy how the weather can swing 20 degrees in just 7 days. It just gives me the feeling that winter is right around the corner and I really don't like winter! Winter's here in the norther midwest are extremely cold and not much fun!!

I have never really been a big coffee drinker, but with the job I have, I have gotten used to drinking a little bit more of it here and there in the morning. Fantasy Football

I need a big day today in my fantasy football league. I am 3-2 right now which puts me tied for 3rd place. I've lost a couple of close match ups and can only hope that I can get on a winning streak and win some games to put me up on top! T-Minus 14 days!!

There is only 14 more days before Jenna is due with our first baby. I am so excited to be a Dad. It makes me nervous to think that we could be very busy at work, which would make it hard for me to be available right away when I get the call. All I can hope for is that it rains that day. Either way though, I will be taking off quickly....someone will just have to replace me out in the field!! The birth of our baby is more important than any job.:)

Another Rainy Day

I can't say that I am disappointed that it's raining today. Because if it wasn't raining I would be working and I would honestly rather be watching the NFL. I told my wife that I am torn, see with it being busy season for work, this is where I make all my bonus money. But I also like to go to church on Sunday's with my wife and watch my Vikings.

3 weeks

I can't believe we only have 3 weeks left until our baby is due. I'm really looking forward to being a dad, and I know Jen is really looking forward to being a mom. Today has turned out to be such a beautiful day! The weather is just gorgeous. There was no rain today, so thankfully we were able to get some work done out in the fields. I think tomorrow is supposed to be nice, but then Friday it's supposed to rain again. Oh well, I guess that's how it goes.
