One Week Old

One week ago today our little son was born. We decided to be surprised about the gender, so the day we found out was wonderful! Now we have a little boy and a little girl....life is great! I am loving having two kids. Kaelyn sure loves having a little brother. I wasn't sure how she'd react to having our attention split between her and someone else, but so far she's handling it very well. I'm happy about that. She can't get enough of him and loves to give him hugs and kisses.

Monex

The Monex Deposit Company makes it possible for you to purchase silver, gold and other precious metals. You can have it delivered immediately and best of all, you'll get terrific service as well! They have been around for over 30 years and are known as America's leader when it comes to the investment of precious metals and coins. I am very impressed with how easy they make it to invest. The more I learn about them, the more I'd like to work with them. How about you? Have you had any experience with Monex. If so, please let me know what you think.I'm looking forward to learning even more and deciding if this is the thing for me or not.

Couldn't ask for more....

I just can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up. It still feels like we just brought her home from the hospital, and now we've moved her into a twin bed, she's potty trained, and she is talking more and more everyday. I miss the days where she stayed in one spot and she wasn't always getting into trouble. I am just so happy that we have a beautiful little girl that is so sweet and kind, I couldn't ask for anything more!

Job Woes

As a Field Sales Agronomist, and a new one at that, I am always learning on the job. Just a few days back a farmer had contacted me asking me to go out and look at one of his fields. He just couldn't understand why this one area of his field had no leaves on the plants what so ever. So being the rookie that I am I asked another Sales Agronomist and a Seed Rep to go out there with me and this is what we found. Sure enough there were an area of soybeans that there were no leaves but the stems were all there. After looking around for a few minutes, the picture above is what we concluded to be the problem. See right across the road from this field is a pond, a pond full of geese. So the geese would walk across the road, eat the beans and walk back across the road. All I can say is he got one thing out of the deal, fertilizer!

Vacation

A vacation is sounding SO good right about now. Jen and I haven't been anywhere in so long. We would LOVE to take a vacation in the next year if possible. We've been looking into the Karisma Hotels as a strong possibility and really like all they have to offer. Between their elite level of service, their wonderful and relaxing accommodations, and their gourmet-inclusive concept...we figure we can't go wrong taking our family vacation here. I hope it works out, as we could really use a vacation like. How wonderful would it be to have snap to service and swim up rooms....ah, that sounds like the life to me.

Our Baby

Baby Gaskill will be here in just about 12 weeks. It still may sound like a long time, but in the whole picture...it's not long at all! We're very excited to meet our new son or daughter...and to see Kaelyn as a big sister. It's fun being surprised and not knowing we're having...I think it even adds to the anticipation of the birth even more!! Although I don't like it usually when time goes by so quickly, I do hope that November gets here soon!

Such a TALKER!

Jen and I are just amazed every day at how much Kaelyn is talking. By the time she was 12 months old she was saying so many words, and now that she's 21 months old...she's speaking in full sentences. Pretty much anything she needs or wants, she communicates with words. She does very well. We think it has a lot to do with introducing her to Sign Language at such a young age. That has really helped with her language and verbal abilities.

Online College

Sometimes I don't like the Internet very much. It makes it hard to be sure you're getting accurate information. However, one great thing that has come about from having the Internet available are online colleges and the online degree people can get. My brother in law recently got his master's degree online while still going to work full time and supporting a family. I just think it's so great that there are options like this out there. I personally have always been very impressed with Capella University. They are a fully accredited online university that provides master's and PhD degrees for adults who work. Their website is very informative and even has an Inside Online Education podcast which always offers relevant information to those looking into the college.

Time Flies...

I'm really enjoying my job. I love the time I get to spend with my family...that's the most important thing to me!! Before, I never knew when I'd be home and when I'd be working...now I kind of make my own schedule and know that I will get plenty of time to spend with Jen and Kaelyn each day. Family is VERY important to me, so to have a job like this is great. The Lord definitely knew what was perfect for me...and He found this job! I am so grateful and know that through patience and faith this job came to me. The timing is perfect and so is the job! I've been there almost a year now and can hardly believe it. I guess time flies when you're having fun!!

Go Away Telemarketers

Do you ever get tired of all the telemarketing calls?? My wife is a stay at home mom, and each night when i get home from work, she tells me that the phone simply rings off the hook. Yesterday she actually showed me all the calls her cell phone even received.....10 calls that were from telemarketers. She has stopped answering them because she doesn't have the time. It's frustrating because all of our numbers are on DO NOT CALL Lists, but they still call. Does anyone else have this problem?

Allegro Medical

Having been around since 1996, Allegro Medical already serves over 1 million satisfied customers!! They are one of the largest and most advanced online retailers of life enhancing products in the United States. They used to only offer medical supplies and health care supplies, but now have expanded to carry everything including...Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear. As I looked through their website and some of the things they offer I was quite impressed. I know you will be too!! Take a moment and head over there...you won't be sorry you did. It's very user friendly.

Pregnancy Discomfort

Jen is at 22 1/2 weeks pregnant now and is beginning to feel the physical discomfort of being pregnant. After two years she kind of forgot all that, but it's all coming back to her now. I feel for her because there's really only so much I can do. I give her back rubs, try to do as much of the cleaning around the house and as much chasing Kaelyn around as I can. She's so tired lately and with the increasing weight gain that comes along with pregnancy it's just wearing on her. She told me the other day she doesn't remember how she did it with 26 extra pounds on her...especially considering she's only gained 1 so far. We still have a ways to go. Hopefully the next 18 weeks go by quickly!

Great Deals

Once we had Kaelyn, we started going up to the cities to a huge consignment sale that goes on twice a year. They basically have everything any parent would need for their child....especially clothing. Everything is used, but in great condition for the most part and so cheap!! In a couple of months we will be heading up there again to get clothes for her for the winter/spring months...as well as baby clothes for our new arrival this Winter! I know Jen is really excited, and so am I as Kaelyn has been growing so fast and hardly has any clothes for those seasons. I hope we have good luck.

Verizon Wireless Proposes Roaming Rule Change

Facing pressure from the government, Verizon Wireless has proposed a change to the current laws regarding roaming. As the law stands, carriers are not required to provide roaming services to competing entities that own spectrum in a given market but have yet to build out a network there. Smaller carriers have complained that this hurts their customers, who won't be able to roam in those regions and will be left without service. Verizon says it will support legislation that requires it to provide roaming services in this type of circumstance, provided the requirement lasts no longer than two years. The letter was sent to several senators, and is the second olive branch extended by Verizon Wireless in the last week to appease those concerned about competition in the marketplace.

On the road again!

Over the next two weeks I am going to be doing a lot of traveling. Next week I am taking a 2 day trip to Tremont, IL for work and the following week I will be taking a 2 day trip to Des Moines, IA. I never thought that as a salesman that I would have to travel this much or attend so many meetings. I guess it's wait you have to do in order to stay on top of the industry and where it's going. I know that I'll be missing my girls a lot over that time.

Jen's Updated Blog

Over last weekend Jenna was able to sit down with her brother and kind of revamp her blog's appearance. She wanted to take the blog and organize it a little better since she was using it to review products for companies. What a difference just moving things around can refresh a blog and make it more user-friendly. Check it out for yourself. momsbalancingact.com

Lovin' Every Minute

I just can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up. It still feels like we just brought her home from the hospital, and now we've moved her into a twin bed, we are potty training her, and she is talking more and more everyday. I miss the days where she stayed in one spot and she wasn't always getting into trouble. I am just so happy that we have a beautiful little girl that is so sweet and kind, I couldn't ask for anything more!

20 Week Ultrasound

Today I got the first real glimpse at my new son/daughter. Today Jenna had her 20 week ultrasound. I just amazes me at how technology allows us to get such good images of something that is still inside a person. We saw that the baby has all 10 finger and 10 toes, 2 arms and 2 legs, a mouth and a nose, but the one thing we didn't find out is whether it was a boy or a girl. According to the doctor, she was able to tell as she skimmed over the area, which leaves Jenna and I to believe that we are having a boy. I guess we'll have to wait 19 more weeks to see!

NBA Finals

I am not a huge NBA fan, unless it's the Playoff's then I can watch the NBA every night. It just seems to me that the only time that teams really try and run an organized play or really play defense, is when they are playing for their lives. That's what I love about playoff basketball, the effort that the players put forth is about 10 times the effort they have during the season. I know that only liking playoff basketball makes me a fair weather fan, but actually I cheer for whoever is play in the Lakers. I just can't stand Kobe Bryant, yes he is good, but the personality he displays really drives me nuts. Go Orlando!

Challenges of my Job

Paintball

ZephyrPaintball.com is a site where you will find everything you need when it comes to paintball gear at low prices and free shipping! Whether it's ego paintball guns and goggles you're looking for, or hoppers and paintball starter packages...this is the site for you. They carry a complete line of supplies with well known names like Dye, Invert, Kingman Spyder, Tippmann, Zap, Nelson, Proto and many more. If you're interested in checking them out for more information, you can head over to their website today or even give them a call at 877-814-4297. Their site is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Little Chip Thief

Not being at home all day I guess I forget just how fast and mobile Kaelyn is. I set a bag of chips on the table then turned my back to heat up some supper, and when I turned around this is what I saw. Kaelyn had climbed up on the chair and started eating the chips that I had set out for myself. I could help but laugh, seeing her stuff her face with those potato chips. You gotta love her!

PGA Champions Tour

A couple of weeks ago my brother-in-law and myself had the opportunity to go watch The Principle Financial Golf Charity Classic in Des Moines. This PGA tourney wasn't the FedEx Cup, it was the Champions Tour which had a lot of great golfer's like Fred Funk, Mark O'Meara, and Nick Price. They played the Glen Oaks course in West Des Moines, which is a beautiful course. I was amazed at how easy they made the game of golf looked, even on the bad shots. I was a great day with great weather and would love to do it again!

Allegro Medical

In 1996 Allegro Medical was founded, and now serves more than 1 million customers! Ever heard of them before? They are the largest and most technologically advanced independent owned online retailers of life enhancing products ranging from exercise and fitness equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, maternity/baby supplies and outdoor gear. That's a large variety there. You could utilize their website for many of your needs. Even with their 55,000 products, Allegro Medical's website is very easy to use and navigate. I had no problem searching through their 50 different categories to find the blood pressure monitors I was looking for. Check it out for yourself today and asee what you think!

19 months Old

I cannot believe that my little girl is 19 months old, I know everyone says it, but it's true. It seems like it was just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. I am so proud of her, she is so smart, sweet, and funny that she brings so much joy into both mine and Jenna's lives. Now we have to get ready for number two, it won't be long before we have another addition to our family.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

I didn't think that I would ever be able to find a job that I would like as much as I do. It's amazing I get to work with nothing at all on the agenda, but it's funny the things that come up during a normal work day that help fill my day completely. I can honestly say that my job isn't boring, everyday is a new adventure and that's what I love!

Anniversary Present

Jen and I have our 4 year anniversary coming up next week. It doesn't seem like we've been married for that long already...I guess time flies when you're having fun though, right! I always like to find something special for Jen on our anniversary. This year we're in the middle of selling our house, so I need to find something nice, but affordable at the same time. I came across Holsted Jewelers and immediately knew that this was exactly what I was looking for. They offer amazing jewelry (which Jen loves), as well as gifts and accessories at prices that suit any budget and products that suit any taste. What's great is that they aren't offered in retail stores, so when you purchase from them, you know you're getting an item that is unique and one of a kind. I'm excited to have found them and hope Jenna likes her gift.

Father's Day

Well, Mother's Day has already passed us by, and now Father's Day will be here before we know it. I absolutely love these holidays, as they are a great time to let parents know exactly how much they mean to you. I really like the gift buying part as well, as there are so many different things out there to choose from. I know that, being the new father I am, a round of golf is good enough for me on Father's Day! Jenna is pretty smart and has caught on, and so she is happy to see her dad and myself spend the day playing the sport we love.

20 Week Ultrasound

Normally, most people do not look forward to doctor's appointments. Pregnancy changes all that, and each appointment offers something new and amazing. Whether it be measuring the belly, listening to the heartbeat, or seeing the baby...each appointment is really great for my wife and I. Tomorrow we are especially excited because Jen has her 20 week ultrasound!! This will be our second ultrasound, as we had the first one around 10 weeks...but I am just as excited to see this one because I can't wait to see our baby again! It will be fun to see all the changes that are taking place, especially how big he/she is getting.

Monex Deposit Company

Even with the economy the way it is, many of us are still interested in investing. I have been looking into the Monex Deposit Company....ever heard of them before?! They are America's gold, silver and precious metals investment leader and have been around for over 30 years...so chances are they are a name you may have heard before. They make it easy for people like you and me to purchase silver, gold and other precious metals and then have them shipped to us or a safe storage place immediately. If you're looking to buy gold coin or something else...Monex is definitely the place you want to go first. I would recommend you take a moment and check out their website today. You won't be sorry you did!

Playing in the Park

Today I had the joy of taking both Kaelyn and Zoe to the park, so that both of them could get out some of their energy, and to also get out of Jenna's hair for a while. Where has the time gone, I can remember just a few months ago, we would take Kaelyn to the park and she couldn't do much of anything, and now she is climbing on the toys and going down the slide. I love spending time with her.

Dogsitting

Since Jen's parents are out in Philadelphia, for their son's graduation...we get to dogsit. Zoe is staying with us until Sunday. I'm really excited to have her here. Jen really likes to have her here as well..she's really great company for her during the day. She's such a sweet dog...we just love having her around. I'm glad that we get the opportunity to dogsit her every once in a while...it's a lot of fun!!

PowerOptions

The best returns can be found and PowerOptions can help! They have a complete suite of educational materials and the data you need to invest with stock options. Not to mention their patented SmartSearchXL technology which can only be found through them, no where else! It's the best way to find, compare, analyze and make money on stock option trading!! Their customer service is great too! PowerOptions is the only internet based data provider that gives people this technology and allows them identify the highest return on option trades. In my opinion, it's quite impressive the more I learn about them. If your'e interested in learning more about this option screener, check out their website today! You won't be sorry you did!!

Loving Summer!

This is the first summer I have had at my new job, and I'm loving it. Having the freedom to choose my hours, and whether or not I need to work on the weekends is awesome! For the most part I like to work a full day, during the week, and take the weekends off, only answering phone calls. I just wish that Summer was longer so that I could get in more golfing, can you believe I haven't even been out yet!

What's Wrong With this World??

So I hear today that an elderly man opens fire, with a shotgun, in the holocaust museum killing one of the security guards. I just don't understand peoples thinking, instead of ruining peoples lives because they have a problem, why don't they just off themselves and save the rest of society from having to suffer. What did this guy proved, other than his stupidity and almost getting killed. This wasn't a protest, or a rally, no this guy woke up and decided this was the day he was going to walk into and Federal building and open fire on innocent people just because he had a problem with Jews. Unbelievable.

Capella University

Capella University is one of the online colleges you have probably heard of before. They are known for their fully accredited online university and the quality programs they offer to both those pursuing their graduate and undergraduate degrees. I have often considered Capella, as I would love to further my education while still maintaining the full time job that I have. I recently read a press release dealing with the the 2008 Sunny Andrews Award that they offered to Jeannie McGuire who is the founder of Project Unity. She got her master's degree there and is said to be "the kind of social worker that understands how effective regulation of the profession can be the truest way to show dedication to that profession."

If you're looking to further your education or want to learn more about McGuire and her accomplishments, just check out the Capella university online website today! You won't be sorry you did.

Make Money

Do you make money online? If not, you should! It's so easy, and such a good way to make some extra money. I don't do it too often, but when I do it's some good money!! Blogitive is probably one of my favorite companies to blog for...as they make it easy to get opportunities and make money. There are other companies as well...but there are things about all of them that I am not too fond of. I think I will definitely blog for money as long as I can...it's great!

Consignment Shopping

Once we had Kaelyn, we started going up to the cities to a huge consignment sale that goes on twice a year. They basically have everything any parent would need for their child....especially clothing. Everything is used, but in great condition for the most part and so cheap!! In a couple of weeks we will be heading up there again to get clothes for her for the summer/fall months! I know Jen is really excited, and so am I as Kaelyn has been growing so fast and hardly has any clothes for those seasons. I hope we have good luck.

Vacation Time!

I need a vacation!! How about you?! After this busy season at work, I told Jen that she and I need to go somewhere warm with my air miles. That would be great. I was looking into Karisma Hotels, located right there on the beautiful beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. Have you ever heard of them before? They're supposed to be great! Especially for those who like food. This is right along the type of vacation I would enjoy. They also have quality service and many great accommodations. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation with the one you love...Karisma might be it! I'm looking forward to staying in an all inclusive resort.

Will it rain?

The busy season is upon us which means I am working some weekends. This weekend I am really hoping for rain however. I enjoy my job, but could use Saturday to go and help Jen's brother move. That would be great! So far it's not looking good...but there is a 50% chance of rain so you never know?! I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow with pouring showers. Jen and kaelyn will go down to his place no matter what and I'd sure like to go with them. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Allegro Medical

In 1996 Allegro Medical was founded. It's the largest and most advanced independent online retailer of life enhancing products and serves more than one million satisfied customers! That is pretty impressive if you ask me! They offer products in a variety of categories including Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear. You'd think with all those products, like leg bags for instance, it would be hard to find what you're looking for, but it's really not!! With over 55,000 product, they've created a very user friendly site to search. I was very impressed. Check them out today if you want to learn more.

New Vacuum

We have been in desperate need of a vacuum. Unfortunately all we've ever bought are the least expensive ones in the store. They work ok...but the life of the vacuum is very short and they tend to loose their performance abilities very quickly. We finally decided to put a little money into something nicer and boy are we happy!! It wasn't real expensive, but just a bit more money sure has given us a lot more quality. We vacuumed for the first time with it last night and it got so much stuff that our other vacuum would have never gotten. It has a HEPA filter in it too which is great!

Long Day!

I sure had a long day yesterday! I had to be out the door by 6am to get down to an all day training for work. I didn't get to leave until 4:30 and then had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. Thankfully my wonderful wife had supper ready on the table and my little girl was super happy to see me. We worked hard to get some of the house cleaning done last night which will mean less to do tonight and tomorrow! I am hoping to have some time to relax this weekend...we'll see.

17 months old!

Our little girl is going to be 17 months in just a few days! I can't believe she's already that old. She's growing into such a sweet little girl. She's so smart and loving.....the absolute best daughter in the world...we're so blessed to have her as a part of our family! She is talking up a storm these days, trying to put words together and really has done well communicating her needs to us. Jen has done such a good job teaching her different things. She's a really fast learner!

Gift Ideas For Women

My wife often tells me that I am good at thinking "outside the box" when it comes to purchasing gifts for her. Women are very easy to buy for, whether it be flowers, perfume, or even elctronics, they appreciate any thoughtful gift. My wife is this way which makes shopping much easier. The only problem is that many times very special gift ideas for women aren't the cheapest. That's why I was super excited to come across SaveBuckets.co.uk where one can find many affordable gift ideas all in one place! It doesn't get much better than that if you ask me.

I was actually quite impressed with the affordable electronics that they offer. Many women would enjoy electronic gifts. Like a laptop for instance...that makes a very special gift. I know that my wife would also enjoy a Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS Games as well. These are all things she could use and that we could use together even. That's what makes a gift special...when there's thought put into it.

Next time you're looking for a very special gift for the woman in your life, don't forget to check out SaveBuckets.co.uk and all the choices they have to offer.

Snowmobiling Trip

I am happy to say that I'm officially on a mini vacation! It's been a while since I have been anywhere just for fun, so this is great. I wish it would have been something my wife and daughter could have come along with too...but we're snowmobiling and I know they would not have enjoyed it. I'm glad I was able to come though, it will be fun to have a few days out on the snow. I hope the time doesn't go too fast...we're looking forward to many hours spend sledding and snowmobiling.

Missing My Family

I have been gone from my Wife and 16 month old daughter for almost a week. I have never been away from my girls for this long and I really miss them. The last time I was away for a couple of days, my daughter seemed pretty unsure of who I was. So this makes me nervous, all I want is to walk through the door and see her run into my arms. I can't wait to see them!

Busy February

When I started this new job, I would have never have guessed that the winter months would be so busy. In the month of February I have only 4 work days where I am not attending some sort of meeting. With all the meetings I have really had to organize my time to see the customers I need to. I am really loving my job though.

New Video

Last night I was playing with Kaelyn in the kitchen and she continued to hide a little plastic golf ball she has in our shoes and then try to say "where's it at?". It was really cute, so I ran to get the camera and got it on video. She does the little hand gesture when she says it too...which makes it even more adorable. You can also hear her say "shoe" in it...as this is one of her new favorite words to say. :)

Growing Girl

We were getting Kaelyn ready for church yesterday and realized that she only has one or two pairs of shoes that still fit her. Sometimes I think her feat actually grow overnight. It's crazy how fast she's been growing. We're looking to buy her a good pair of walking shoes now that she's all over the place...however at the same time we don't really want to spend a lot because we know she'll grow out of them fairly quickly.

Business Trip

I found out that next week I have to go to another training for two days for work. I was a little bummed, as I was just gone for a whole week from Jen and Kaelyn...but then I got to thinking...at least it's only two days and one night and no longer. I suppose it could be worse. Jen doesn't seem to mind....I think she's thinking that two days is nothing compared to the 6 I was gone last week. I hate to leave them, but I'm sure the time will go by quickly.

Jewelry

Jewelry is something that many women really appreciate and enjoy. What I enjoy buying for my wife is something unique and items that can't be found in just any old store. I was very impressed with the recently jewelry site I came across for that exact reason. Everything offered is handcrafted by the owner of this small jewelry business and it's very nice. Whether it's copper jewelry, silver jewelry, Homemade jewelry cleaner solution, or something else...they have it all. Check it out!

Meetings

Today was an early one for me. ONce a month, I have a meeting at work that starts at 7 AM. It wouldn't be so bad, expect I live 45 minutes away from my office. That makes it a bit earlier for more than most. That's a huge reason why I am SOOO looking forward to us moving and finding a place closer. I know Jen is excited to. It seems like a big process, but I know with prayer and patience, it will all work out.

Glad to be home!

Being new to the field of Agronomy Sales, the company I work for sent me to a Professional Agronomy Training Course up in the Cities this past week. I can honestly say that it was the most intense training that I have ever had. When you cover material that would normally take most people 2 or 3 years, and we covered it in one week, you know there's a lot going on. Although I learned quite a bit, it sure made it a very long week, and I am very glad to be home.

Reinventing America

I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like there are many things that need to be changed in America. It just doesn't seem like some of the things we are doing in this country are helping much with very important things, like our economy for instance. I know many people are looking to a new President for new ideas. I think they're wanting to reinvent America. I actually found some very bold, yet good ideas at ubercool.com on how to revolutionize America and wanted to pass it along. If you are at all interested in learning more about Reinventing America, then this is the site for you.

Almost Done

Well...thankfully tomorrow I will be able to head home and see my girls finally! It's been a long week, and definitely didn't go by as quickly as I hoped it would. I did learn a lot though, and will bring back many new ideas to my job. I am looking most forward to spending the entire weekend with Jen and Kaelyn though, as I missed them SO much!! Kaelyn is walking now too...so that will be fun to see. I'm sorry I missed it and can't wait to see her.

Business Trip

I'm a little bummed, as I have to go away for some training for work for the whole week!! I know Jen is a little down about it as well. I am going to miss her and Kaelyn so much. All I can say is that I hope the week goes by quickly and that it's not too boring. I am hoping to learn a lot so I can do even better at my job...but even more importantly, I am wanting to get back with my girls as soon as possible. They are the world to me!

Happy New Year

I just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a very Happy New Year. We had a great time spending the holiday with Jen's family. We didn't ring in the new year quite as we had hoped...as we were all sick most of the holidays this year....but we're still being positive and know 2009 will be a great year!! Even better than 2008. :)
