Free Round of Golf

I was starting to get a little bummed because I felt like the golf season was probably at an end now that the last golf tournament is over. But Jen's dad and I remembered that we still have a free round of golf in the town where he lives...so hopefully we can get that in sometime before busy season. I can't wait!

My Day Off

I had such a great day today. I enjoyed not having to work and just spending the day with Jen. She had a doctor's appointment today so I went to that with her, and then we ran a few errands that we needed to get done. It was such an enjoyable day and very relaxing. I'm glad that I decided to take the day off.

Pull Up Bars

Pull ups have always been something that I enjoyed doing. How about you? Some people really enjoy doing them, while others would prefer to do some other sort of exercise and fitness testing. It's been a while since I've done them, but I know that in the past I've been able to do quite a few...at least 10, which I was fairly proud of. Mowing the Lawn

I have a feeling that after all the rain we've had over the past couple of weeks, that I'm going to have to get out there and mow again this weekend. I don't mind mowing because my uncle lets me borrow his rider lawn mower and then I use my push mower that I got from Jen's dad on the steep parts of the lawn. It goes pretty quickly between the two...maybe 20-30 minutes at the most. That's not too bad.

Zoe's Vacation

Zoe's vacation to our house ends today. Once the golf tournament is over, Bill is going to take her back home. We always enjoy having Zoe at our house, but know that Bill and Vicky also miss her a lot while she's gone and look forward to her return. I guess she can always come back on a little "vacation" again sometime.

Zoe

Jen's parent's dog has been staying with us over the past few days. She's such a good dog and really a joy to have around. We've felt kind of bad for her though over the past couple of days, because she just didn't seem to be feeling all that well. She wasn't eating much, and wasn't wanting to play or anything. Yesterday Zoe seemed to be feeling a little better...she ate both of her meals and was a little more playful. Hopefully the little flu bug that she had has passed now.

Jen's Grandma

Before my busy season starts at work, Jenna and I would both really like to go visit her Grandma in the Nursing home. It's been quite a while since we went to visit her, so we just thought it would be nice to sometime soon. She is in the nursing home with Alzheimers. The doctor's say that she is in her last stages, so she doesn't really respond or show any emotion/expression at all. We still like to go talk to her though about what's been going on in our lives and about how she's going to be a great grandma soon.

Nice Golf Weather

It's the nicest day out today...perfect for our golf tournament!! We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Bill and I were a little concerned earlier in the week...as it looked like it was going to rain quite a bit. Turns out that we only got a couple of light showers, and the rest of the week has been just beautiful!! This morning is so cool and sunny out...a perfect day for golfing.

Baby Gifts

My sister is pregnant, my wife is pregnant, and my sister-in-law is pregnant...so, pregnancy and baby talk are things that are discussed a lot in my home. I can't believe September is right around the corner!! That means that my busy season will be here before I know it...and our baby will be here in less than two months!! I can't wait for that!!!:) It's weird to think that in only about 8 weeks or so we'll get to meet our little one. Time goes so quickly, it will be here before we know it.

Jen's Dr. Appointment

Tomorrow since I don't have to work, I am going to go to Jenna's Dr's appointment with her. She is now going every two weeks, so at times I probably won't be able to go with her due to work. I'm glad I get to go tomorrow though, because we're actually meeting with one of the other doctor's...just to get to know him a little bit in case he's the one on call when Jen goes into labor. I think it's great that the hospital allows for patients to do this as their pregnancy gets closer to an end.

Someday I think it would be fun to take my wife and kids to Orlando...as I hear they have so much to offer. My weekend starts...NOW!:)

I'm so happy, because now that it's Thursday, my work week is officially over and my weekend has begun!! Usually I work Mon-Fri, but this week I have this golf tournament that I'm golfing in and then I took tomorrow off. What's even better is that Monday we don't work either because of Labor Day. I'm going to enjoy every minute that I have off and can spend with Jenna.:)

Driving Range

Jen's dad came up last night since we're golfing quite early this morning. It worked out well, because we got to go and hit some golf balls at a nearby driving range before it got too dark. Just as we were finishing up our basket of golf balls, the sun was starting to set though and it was very difficult to see. They didn't have any lights that turned on which I thought was kind of weird. It was fun though.

My Mom

Last night was nice, because my mom stopped by while she was in town for a church meeting. I don't get to see my mom as much as I would like, so when one of us is in town where the other lives or works, we try and stop to see one another. Golfing Today

I'm pretty excited about today...as it is yet another golf tournament that me and Jen's dad get to golf in!! We're pretty excited, because we both just love golf so much. I hope we have a chance at winning it...we'll have to see what our competition is like once we get there. No matter what though, we'll still have fun. They even provide breakfast, lunch and dinner! Jen's parents' dog has been staying with us for a few days and she's concerned that she's not eating enough. I think Zoe just likes to be picky sometimes, and would rather eat people food, than doggy food. We haven't been giving her much of anything...trying to make her eat her dog food...but she just doesn't seem interested. She seems normal other than that...I guess she'll just eat when she's hungry.

Time Flies

Can you believe that it's almost September already?! Wow..where does the time go? It seems like Jenna and I were just moving here to start my new job last February, and now we've been here for almost 7 months already. I'm not complaining or anything though...the sooner October gets here the better...because that's when our first baby will be born...we can't wait to meet him/her!

Painting the House

Our neighbor desperately needed to do some painting on his house...we thought that when we moved into this house a month ago. We've actually been able to have the windows open some over the past couple of days with this nice cool weather. I really like it when we can open up the windows and enjoy the beautiful breeze...especially at night. I just sleep so well when there's a nice cool breeze in the room. Tired Dog

Zoe is sure tired tonight. She's gonna stay with us until Thursday when bill comes back up to golf. She had such a busy weekend though with coming up to our place and going on a few walks over the past couple of days. I think she's going to sleep really well tonight which is great!!

Football!!

I am SO enjoying the fact that it's Saturday today and that tonight I've been able to spend time with Jenna and watch football. I used to play football in High School and College and really miss it. Jenna doesn't really like to watch it, but sometimes she'll watch parts of games with me which is nice.

Rain Rain Stay Away

I hope that the rain doesn't come back this week, as there are many things I'd like to do outside this week. I'd like to trim one of our trees down a bit, I'd like to do some caulking around the foundation, I'd like to mow and pick up apples...the list goes on and on. So, Rain, Rain Stay Away! :)

Disney

I have never been to Disney world, but my wife tells me it's an incredible place to spend a vacation...especially when our kids are old enough for us to take them there. I'm sure it is...as there are so many wonderful things for families to do on an Orlando Vacation. Bathtub

Jen didn't like how our bathtub gets so slick every time she gets in and out of it. I don't want her falling, so we decided to get those sticky things that go in the bottom of the tub to help keep you from falling. Faucet

While Jen's parents were here...her dad helped us figure out what was wrong with our faucet. We couldn't figure out why the water in our kitchen sink seemed to come out so slowly. Golfing

It's a beautiful day out today, and since Jenna's parents were up here...Bill and I decided we couldn't pass up a day like this to go golfing. What a great birthday weekend this is turning out to be!!:) I love golf! I think my Grandpa is going to be out there with us, which should be fun also. I can't wait.

My Birthday Has Begun

What a great night I had last night!! First, Jen and I went to a great BBQ restaurant with my dad, stepmom and sister for my birthday! We then went back to their place, had yummy pie, and simply enjoyed each other's company. We then came home, where Jenna's parents were, awaiting with the piano that Jenna has really been anxious for to get up here. We're going to be going out to eat with them tonight for my birthday, but it was nice getting to spend time with them last night as well.

I have always told my wife what a difference some landscaping would make around our house. Spraying for bugs

Tonight I finally got around to spraying around the outside of the house and down stairs for bugs. I did that at the house we were renting and it really worked. We don't have a lot of bugs here, but hopefully it will take care of the spiders and stuff that we've found in the house.

Alzheimer's Memory Walk

It's so sad, but today it seems that every family has at least one member who's dealt with, or knows someone who has dealt with Alzheimer's. It's really a sad disease...one that takes smart, energetic people and brings them to a point where they speechless, and have no recollection of what's going on around them. My grandma has Alzheimer's and is actually in the final stages of this terrible disease. I would love nothing more than for us to work together to find a cure. We can all make a difference by becoming a team captain for the memory walk that takes place annually across the country. It's the largest event to raise awareness and the funds to help find a cure and learn more. Being a Team Captain is so important because you're bringing people together, getting them energized and ready to start this fight against Alzheimer's. Team captains are the hear of this whole thing in my opinion...without them we would have no memory walk. It's really important to me because I am personally affected, having my grandma who has it. Seeing her in the state she is in is just saddening, and that's why I think it's so important for people to get involved. New Hubcaps

I am pretty excited because I got the hubcaps for the car today. I was in an incident earlier this month where my car got stuck in some water. When this happened, the front two hubcaps were ripped off. I am so happy to finally have the new ones here. YYEEAAHH!!

Can you believe it's already Wednesday?! Wow! The weeks just fly by don't they. That's ok with me though...that means that our baby will be here that much sooner. Paint Colors

My wife and I were kind of bummed with the color of the paint that I used in that room downstairs. I mean, it doesn't look awful, but with it being such a big room, we were hoping for something a little more warm and neutral. It was supposed to be a light tan color, but ended up looking closer to white. We definitely did not want that. So, needless to say, I have a feeling I will be repainting it which is kind of a bummer. But then again, we want to like the look of the room down there too.

More Painting

Wow have I had a busy weekend!! My wife and I recently moved into this new house and we had some painting and different things we wanted to do to it. I thought I'd get some painting done, as it is one thing I can take off my "honey do" list. The room that I'm finishing painting today is quite large and will be nice to have done. It will look so fresh and clean once it's done...I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.

I have been wanting to see the new Rush Hour 3 movie for the past week, and today might be a good day to do that...as the weather isn't going to permit us to do much else outside of the house. I fell asleep last night on the couch while I was watching football, while Jenna was back in our office doing some work on the computer. When I woke up I noticed that my feet and ankles were itching quite a bit...I looked down at them and it appeared that a mosquito had gotten trapped under the blanket that I was using and bit me about 7 or 8 times on my two legs. It was not a fun experience and I didn't stop itching until I put some caladryl on.

Painting

With it raining outside, today is going to be a great day for me to get some things done around the house. One thing that I need to do is get started on the painting in our basement. We'll lighten it up a bit and try to get it looking a little bit nicer.

Gloomy Weather

Wow is it raining outside. Jenna woke up in the middle of the night and heard the thunder just crashing. Then we woke up this morning and it was pouring outside. It really hasn't let up at all...it's very gloomy outside...one of those days where it's nice to stay in. Hopefully this lets up by tomorrow though...Jen and I were going to go boating.

Zoe

Last week Jenna and I were dogsitting her parent's dog, Zoe. Zoe is a Bichon Frise and such a good girl. She's so easy to dogsit because she's really pretty low mainenance. Now with the new house we just let her out on her chain when she has to go potty and she's so good to ask by ringing her bell on the door whenever she has to go. We really enjoy getting to watch her every once in a while...and miss her when she leaves. Maybe someday we'll get a Bichon of our own?? Either that or we'll continue to "borrow" Zoe.:)

Blogging for money

I'm really happy that I've had more time these days to blog. It seems that while we were in the process of moving, I barely ever got on the computer because we were just so busy with everything else that was going on. Now I've actually been able to find some time to blog and even blog for money a little bit. Do any of you do that? If not, you should definitely check into it. Baby News

Jenna told me that the baby has really been moving a lot lately!! At night when I'm home she'll lay her head on my lap and let me feel the baby move. She's right...he/she is moving all the time...especially at night. I can even see the movements if I watch carefully. It's just so cool to think that our baby is inside of her, and that we'll get to meet him/her in just a couple short months. We're so excited!!

Mid August Already

Can you believe it's already the middle of August?!! Wow!! Time sure does fly. I feel like summer just began, and now Fall will be here before we know it. I guess it's ok that it's the middle of August already though...that means that my birthday is very soon, and better yet...the birth of our first baby will be here in a couple of short months!! I can't wait!!

Jenna doesn't really like to watch it, but sometimes she'll watch parts of games with me which is nice.

Finally!

I'm so glad it's Friday!! It hasn't been too bad of a week at work, as I had LP classes most of it...but I always look forward to the weekends because I get to spend some quality time with Jenna.:) We have some things to do around our new place still and we are thinking about having a date night tomorrow night and going to a movie or something. So, it should be a pretty fun weekend.

Jenna and I have had our share of car trouble, and sometimes finding the parts you need at the prices you want can be really hard. If I ever have a need as far as a radiator is concerned, I'm definitely going to check into Radiator.com. Perfect Home

Jen and I are absolutely LOVING our new home!! What a great thing to have your own home and be able to do with it what you like. We've rented so long, that this is a whole new and exciting experience for us!! It's so much fun to just enjoy it and discuss the future potential that it has! I'm so glad that we were able to purchase this home...we couldn't have made a better choice.

New Door

It's such a great feeling to be pretty much all moved in and settled into our new home now. This past weekend my father and mother in law were up visiting because we had a family golf-outing with my mom's side of the family and they were invited to join in the fun!! We had a great time. Then, yesterday my father in law and I got started on installing the door that he and Vicky bought us for our birthdays. The front door makes such a difference on the appearance of the house...it look so nice! I really learned a lot, as this was the first time I had installed a door before. I'm thankful for all of Bill's help, and Vicky's help with cleaning and stuff....everything looks so great.

Innovative Tutor

Score Learning Centers can offer your child an Innovative Tutor that will help him/her make academic progress in a great learning environment that is fun and meaningful to them. I personally think it's a great opportunity for children, from the ages of 4-14 to experience a one-on-one learning environment to get help in areas they may struggle in. If this is something that interests you for your own child, please look into them and see what you think. I know I am going to for my own children.

Class went great

Our last class went really well last night. I was so happy to have had the opportunity to go to these classes with Jenna. We learned a whole lot and feel better prepared for the childbirth process and bringing home our baby in a couple months. I just can't believe how quickly time goes...pretty soon it will be October and we'll have our little baby here with us.

Math Tutors

Our children will be school age before we know it, and we're comforted in knowing that there are places out there like Score Learning Centers where children can receive the one-on-one help that they need in the subject areas they struggle in most. Score offers Math Tutors for those who have children who struggle in this area, as well as other tutors for a variety of subject areas. We are very impressed with Score learning Centers and think it will be a great thing for our children if they need some additional assistance with their learning. This is a paid post.

Last Class

Tonight is our last childbirth preparation class...which seems weird as time has just been flying by. It doesn't seem like it should already be August, or that we will meet our little baby in less than three months now! Wow....I can't wait!:)

Shopping

With a new baby on the way, expected in October, my wife and I know that Christmas will be a little different this year. We're not only shopping for each other, but now for our wonderful baby as well. We're so excited. We're hoping to find some great deals using the Coupon Chief when we start our Holiday shopping, as they make it possible to find great deals online by use of online coupons. I know my wife would love some new clothes this year for Christmas, as she has been only able to buy maternity clothes over the past 7 months. I'm excited to shop for her at Old Navy coupons, as this is one of her favorite stores to buy clothes at. For the Baby, I'm guessing we'll find a store like KB Toys coupons, to buy our baby lots of fun things to do and play with. I can't wait to start shopping with the Coupon Chief.

New Home

Work was pretty busy for a while there, but it finally seems to be slowing down. This is a great thing since busy season will be here before we know it. Thankfully we weren't too busy, so I was able to get a few days off to help move things to our new home. What a busy weekend...but boy does it feel good to be settled into our new home.
