The Vikings Suck!

I can't believe that I would be saying that the Vikings suck after just the first 4 weeks of the season. But they have no offense, and just like last year they rely on their defense to keep them in games. Well Childress, your defense can only do so much, you have to find a way for your offense to score some points.

Can't Complain...

Well, it's off to work I go. I can't complain though...so far this has been a really easy busy season for me. I get to sleep in a little bit, and still get home before dark. It's a lot more laid back in the fall than it is the spring. In the fall we're just doing as much as we can to cut back our workload for the spring. In the spring though, we're rushing to get things done before the farmers get in their fields. I like how laid back it is. It's nice to have a normal days work, and still get to spend time with Jenna when I go home.

A New Hobby

Some people don't enjoy posting, but I sure do like it. It's such a great way to write about the things you love, as well as let others know what is going on in your life at the time. A good time

Last night I got off of work early enough so that Jen and I could go out to eat with my dad and his wife. They called us when they got out of church to see if we had eaten, and we hadn't. We went to a restaurant that none of us had ever been to before, and it turned out to be pretty good. Unfortunately I was pretty tired throughout the supper, having worked all day...but it was still a good time.

Lots of water

Now that I'm working outdoors so much, I find myself drinking a lot more fluids throughout the day. I used to drink a lot of pop, but now that I'm out in the heat, I enjoy something like Gatorade or water more than anything else. I should probably be drinking things like that all the time instead of pop, because I know it's much better for me...and it helps to keep me hydrated.

Bourne Ultimatum

The other night, I really wanted to see a movie. I was in the mood to see the new Bourne Ultimatum movie, as we have not had the chance to see it yet. We looked at the listings for the theater in our town, and it was not here anymore. So, we looked at the listings for a nearby town, it was there...but the time had already passed to go see it. I really would like to see it sometime, but I have a feeling with work being so busy, that I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD now. Oh well.

Orlando

I've never been to Orlando, but my wife has and she says it's just wonderful!! I guess there's just so much to do there. I think sometime in the future I'm going to plan a vacation for my family to Orlando. Who knows, maybe we'll even get an orlando vacation home rental?? That would be kind of fun I think?! Don't you think? I do know one thing! When I decide to plan this vacation, I'm going to check out Orlando.com. They have great prices on all kinds of hotels, car rental places and even flights. Good Supper

All day at work I was wanting these pork chops that we've had up in our freezer. I knew that Jenna doesn't like to grill too much...so I decided that when I got home from work that I would make us supper. I made the pork chops, the corn, and some hash browns. It was a really yummy supper. Jenna had been working so hard today, on the computer and cleaning the house. She deserved a good supper.

Home improvements are something that every homeowner needs to think about at some point or another. My wife and I have only been living in our home for just over a month, but we have talked about different home improvements that we'd like to make many times already. It's just fun to sit and discuss the different things we'd like to do down the road someday. After talking with our inspector, windows and doors are probably the big things that we should do. We already started replacing some of the doors...and boy what a difference. Not only in air efficiency, but also appearance. Good Day

I wasn't on here all day because I was busy at work. It was so nice sleeping in though...it really made the day go a lot better for me. Whenever I'm rested I'm just in a better mood. Today was a pretty easy day...not too busy with much. I even got home around 6 which is really good this time of year!! Hopefully I'll have more days like that so I have more time to spend with my wifey!

Need a break

Do you ever feel like your job is never done?? Sometimes I feel that way with the job I have now. I really enjoy going what I do, but but sometimes it seems like I never get a minute where I'm not doing something for work. When I'm at work I'm working, and most times when I'm at home I am getting calls to remind me to go pick something up for the next day, etc. This winter when we're not busy at all...I'm going to take off lots of time from work and completely focus on my wife and my new baby!! I think by then that I will need a break from all this working.

Full Garage

When Jen and I moved into our new home...we bought a new toilet and also new doors for the front of the house. At the time we didn't know where to take the toilet and old doors...so currently they are still sitting in our garage. I thought I had a guy who was going to be able to come get them for me...but that kind of fell through. I think my dad has somewhere that I can take them...so one of these days I'm really going to have to do that. We don't need a toilet and two doors sitting in our garage all winter!

Not much longer!

Jen and I are getting so excited!!! Only 5 1/2 more weeks until our little one arrives!! It's such an exciting time for us. Every week has past by so quickly...and we're hoping the same is true for these last few weeks of pregnancy. Not only because we're excited to meet our son or daughter, but also because it's getting harder and harder for Jen to move around and get comfortable.

OJ Simpson

Has anyone else heard this story about OJ Simpson that's all over the news lately? I hadn't really heard much about it until my wife was talking about it last night. She said that he actually is in jail without bail, and is possibly facing life in prison. Wow!! He doesn't go to jail for murder, but they may get him this time with robbery, assault, etc. The one thing that bothers me about this whole thing is when I see his pictures. In every mugshot and picture they take of him, he has this dumb smirk on his face. That just bugs me.

More rain??

Since it was raining all day and night yesterday, I was actually able to sleep in a little bit today. It felt so good. It's amazing what an extra 20-30 minutes will do when you're used to have to being up so early each day. I'm hoping that makes for a very rested and easy going day. I don't think work should be too stressful today anyways...because the ground is still very wet and it looks like it may even rain again.

Target Trip

After supper last night, Jenna and I decided to go to Target. It's only about 20 minutes from where we live, so we made a quick trip over there to get the things we needed. Good Supper

Since it rained yesterday, I actually got off work at a fairly descent time. I was really happy when I came home, because Jen had chili for supper. She makes it in the crock pot and I just love it!! I had been working out in the cold and rain all day...so coming home to a supper like that was really nice! I so appreciate her and all she does!!

Craft Show

My wife was pretty excited last night because I told her that I found out our town was having their annual craft show this weekend. I think she's more going to browse than she is to shop...but I sure hope that she finds something that she likes and wants to buy. Great Appointment

My wife had her 34 week doctor's appointment today. Unfortunately now that we're in the busy season I wasn't able to go with her, but I'm thankful I've been able to go with her to everyone up to this point. She told me that everything went great and that the baby's heartbeat was strong. The baby sure has been moving around a lot lately too! We can actually see the different parts of the body, like arms and legs, moving...especially at night time. It's so cool. I can't wait to meet our little one next month!

Finally!

Over the past month I've been working a lot outdoors at work. It seems that for a while there the city had stopped spraying for mosquitoes because I was coming home with tons of bites each night. Recently though, I've noticed that they're not as bad when I'm working outdoors. This is great, because mosquitoes are one bug that I just can't stand! I think the city started spraying again...so between that and the much cooler weather it's been very pleasant weather to work outside.

Awaiting Baby Gaskill's Arrival

My wife and I have been busy trying to get everything done before our baby arrives next month!! :) We have been busy cleaning and working on the nursery. Fall Season

I love the Fall season and everything, but Fall being just around the corner, also means that I am going to be heading into the busy season very soon.
