There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my kids so when Sam was diagnosed with a rare skin disorder that made it difficult for him to spend much time in the sun I knew we had to do something. So we talked about it a lot and decided to pack up the whole family and move to upstate Washington where it’s not very sunny. It was a big transition for all of us and it took a while to get adjusted but now we’re doing well! We live out by the river and had to give up a few creature comforts but we were able to keep some like internet through WildBlueDEALS.COM and accessible grocery stores and shops. It’s been a big change for all of us but Sam seems to be doing really well which is why we came here in the first place. The family sticks together and there’s nothing we wouldn’t do for each other so I’m really glad we were able to come up with a solution that made sense for us and for our little Sam!

I say that whoever said that you need a motorcycle to wear a motorcycle vest that they just haven't seen how cute my motorcycle vest is. I was a little hesitant about buying one because I thought that I wouldn't have anything to wear with it but then my best friend got one and I saw how cute she looked all the time while she was wearing it. Lately I have been addicted to watching these Bald Eagles we have in Northeast Iowa. A researcher put up a camera back in 2007 to watch as these 2 bald eagles made this huge nest. It's fun to just sit and watch these bird's in their natural habitat as they are guarding their eggs until they hatch. I Got The Job!

Over the past couple of months I have been interviewing with this company, that is well known nationally, and I have been waiting for an answer from them. Just a few days ago I finally heard back from them and I got the job! I have put in my notice at my current job and will be starting my new job in a few days. I can't wait!

Family

I am so blessed! What a wonderful family I have. We recently had new family pictures taken. Our daughter Kaelyn is 3 now and our son Kaden is one already. Time sure does fly. Kaelyn enjoyed putting on her picture face (a smile) and Kaden loves to smile most of the time!

People say that my daughter Kaelyn is daddy's girl. She is a sweetie and I love her very much. This was at her brother Kaden's birthday party!

Winter Weather

Wow, did the weather ever change! It wasn't exactly warm before, but it's cooled down a lot and lately we've been getting a wintery mix which is making it very slick outside! Today we're getting together with my family for lunch and then my mom's side for supper. Saturday we are going to Jen's parent's house and will spend the day there. It's nice that we can enjoy time with both sides of the family. I'm looking forward to a long weekend and just being able to enjoy some time relaxing.

New Cell Phone

I enjoy getting a new cell phone. It is tough to keep up on the newest technology but I like to try. I have been with different cell phone companies and have had many phones. Most of the phones I've had have worked just fine. I have one now that has a larger screen which I like. There are almost too many styles to choose from. I know people that don't even have a cell phone. I am so used to having one that I don't think I'd like being without.

Iowa Hawkeyes

Well, the Iowa Hawks won today. They beat Indiana 18-13. I only watched about the last quarter or so because of other work I had to do. I was glad to see that they won. It was a nice day for a football game. I would have rather seen the game in person but the TV had to do. Now I hope the Vikings win tomorrow.

All summer Jenna and I have toyed with the idea of hiring someone to come and trim our trees. Then we got the estimate, $800 just to trim our trees! I could not believe it! Their reasoning was because they would have to climb the trees in order to trim them, well I think that I can do that. So this weekend I'm trimmin' trees!

Vacuum

We have been in desperate need of a vacuum. Unfortunately all we've ever bought are the least expensive ones in the store. They work ok...but the life of the vacuum is very short and they tend to loose their performance abilities very quickly. We finally decided to put a little money into something nicer and boy are we happy!! It wasn't real expensive, but just a bit more money sure has given us a lot more quality. We vacuumed for the first time with it last night and it got so much stuff that our other vacuum would have never gotten. It has a HEPA filter in it too which is great!
