Great Weekend

It's been such a nice and relaxing weekend. Jen and I spent most of our time this weekend with our little girl at home. It was nice to just be home and not have anywhere to go. We don't have many weekends like that....so we really enjoyed just being home. We did get the chance to get out and do a little shopping yesterday though....so that was a lot of fun. We bought Kaelyn a couple of new toys....she didn't have a whole lot yet....and we got her a new car seat...one that will fit her better. Overall it was a great weekend!

Spring

I thought it would get sunny out today, as it was quite warm this morning when I left my house. However, I look out my window and still see that it's quite foggy out. Visiting Family

My sister has been asking us recently if we're planning on trying to make a trip out there to visit her and my other sister and her family this summer. Jen and I would love to make it out there sometime soon...it totally depends on money and Kaelyn though. It's been many years since we were out there last, but with work, school (at the time), and now a baby...it seems there is always something that makes it hard to go visit. Hopefully we'll be able to this summer...we'll just have to see I guess.

Busy Season

Well, I kind of thought that this would be the beginning of our busy season this week since the weather was so nice this weekend. It had melted much of the snow. I don't think that's going to happen now though, as we've gotten more snow over the past couple of days. In a way I'm just anxious for it to get started...the sooner it comes, the sooner it will be done! Hopefully the weather will shape up soon....

Healthy Baby

Our little girl has been around Jen's brother, me, and Jen who have all be sick and she is still healthy as a horse...thank the Lord!! She is strictly breastfeeding which they say is the best thing for a baby in building up their immunity to things. This must be true because she's not shown one sign of not feeling well. I'm so glad!! Having a sick baby would not be fun. Thank the Lord for her health and ours!

Cleaning

Having been sick for the past couple of days, there's still a lot to get done around the house. Jen and I came back from her brothers not feeling well...so, needless to say the cleaning has not gotten done completely. We'd like to get as much done as we can so we're not cleaning the entire weekend. I think I'll try and get something done tonight since I'm feeling a bit better. I picked up the house a little, but there's still more to be done..laundry, dusting, etc.

Laundry

One of the jobs that I usually end up doing around the house is laundry. It's something that Jen doesn't have a lot of time for since she is busy with Kaelyn and other things, so I usually do it. I don't really mind it too much. The only thing I don't like is the folding part. Even though it's something that I can do in front of the television or somewhere else...it's still not something I like to do too much. Oh well I guess...it's one of those things that has to be done.

American Idol Results Show

Tonight was the American Idol Results show. We didn't really know who would get voted off. I must say we were fairly surprised at some of the choices, but others we definitely agreed with. I guess the bottom line is that the ones we think we'll be there til' the end are still in and that's what's important. We've never actually voted, but definitely should this season because there's some very promising singers there.

Learning the Business

Recently my boss went on vacation for a while. I've really enjoyed his time away because I've had more control over things in the company. The reason this is nice is because it gives me an idea of what it would be like to manage the business. I really like that part of it!! He'll be back next week which is fine....I just enjoy some of the time when he's gone so I get the chance to see what my future job might be like.

Time Off

I'm looking forward to having a couple of days off next week. I am not going to be around Monday or Tuesday, as Jen and I are going down to visit her brother. I need a nice vacation like that before the busy season begins. It's not real far away, but at least it's something. It will be nice to take Kaelyn down there, she's never been to Uncle Jake's place before. I hope the time goes slowly so I can just enjoy my time spent with family.

Appointment Today

Today Kaelyn had her four month doctor appointment which I wrote about earlier in the week. We were right when we guessed that she had probably gained two pounds. She gained over two pounds and grew two inches. Wow!! Even though it had been two months since her last Dr Appointment we were still really surprised that she had grown so much. It's weird how fast she has grown in such a short amount of time! It's so fun to watch.

Four Months Old

I am really excited for this week. Our daughter turned 4 months old this weekend, and she has her Dr. Appointment on Thursday! I am really looking forward to this, as it is always fun to see how much she has grown since the last time we were there. Jen and I are guessing that she gained at least a couple of pounds and grew a couple of inches probably. I just love seeing her change and grow. It's so much fun to watch!! I will keep you updated on how the appointment goes.
