Bummer!
I found out that next week I have to go to another training for two days for work. I was a little bummed, as I was just gone for a whole week from Jen and the kids...but then I got to thinking...at least it's only two days and one night and no longer. I suppose it could be worse. Jen doesn't seem to mind....I think she's thinking that two days is nothing compared to the 6 I was gone last week. I hate to leave them, but I'm sure the time will go by quickly.
Regency
Have you ever heard of Regency? They are the fastest growing beauty school in the country. They have expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to almost 30 now. They even have hair schools in Wichita! What's great, is that they are continually growing! Their approach to cosmetology education is quite remarkable. They have campuses that mirror upscale salons and provide exceptional education that benefits students with hands on experience. It's great for the community as well because they get discounted services. Everyone wins! I would check them out if you or someone you knows is interested in pursuing a career like this.
Ugh!
Do you ever get tired of all the telemarketing calls?? My wife is a stay at home mom, and each night when i get home from work, she tells me that the phone simply rings off the hook. Yesterday she actually showed me all the calls her cell phone even received.....10 calls that were from telemarketers. She has stopped answering them because she doesn't have the time. It's frustrating because all of our numbers are on DO NOT CALL Lists, but they still call. Does anyone else have this problem?
Kaden
I can't believe how big Kaden is getting. He is almost 9 months old and crawling all over the place. he's pulling up on everything and even trying to let go and stand on his own. I don't know if he'll be an early walker or not, but he sure is trying hard. He is the sweetest little boy and loves to cuddle. I hope as he gets older he stays that way. It's so sweet and I love it!
Buying Gold
Buying gold and silver is not something I really thought about doing. However, with the economy the way it is, I thought it might be smart to talk with Jen about possibly doing something like that. We came across the United States Gold Bureau and are really impressed with all they offer. We could purchase silver, buy gold coins and other precious metals and coins right through them. Not only that, but they will then deliver it or arrange for safe storage. I'm very intrigued and would love to learn more. I hope we end up doing something, as I really think it would be a smart move.
Growing Up
I just can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up. It still feels like we just brought her home from the hospital, and now she's talking up a storm and such a great big sister. In november she will be 3 already. Where does the time go? Seriously! I wish it would slow down a bit. I think the time with Kaden is even going faster. Yikes! Is that even possible?
Consignment Sale
Once we had Kaelyn, we started going up to the cities to a huge consignment sale that goes on twice a year. They basically have everything any parent would need for their child....especially clothing. Everything is used, but in great condition for the most part and so cheap!! In a month we will be heading up there again to get clothes for her for the winter/spring months...as well as for Kaden.
